Yes he wants more real money.... But he has now made premium accounts worthless (almost) and alienated anyone that had a premium account at the time of the change!

So once again PGI just go off and do whatever the hell they like, but then they can after all it's their game!

I also do think PGI is earning too much. 12€ per month for MWO-Premium is MMO-level. For the latter I get the whole game, for the former I get a slightly less tiring grinding experience. Yeah, thanks. :)

God, I hathe twitch so much. Seriously, why does it suck? They have an android app, but of course you can't use it to, you know, watch video.

Regardless, this really isn't news. Of course Paul thought we were earning too much; why else nerf earnings?

Not that i agree, mind you. As a non crazy player who only gets a couple matches per day, this really sucks. MC isn't even a real option, as the base mech chassis are only a small part of the cost

A nearly inaignificant

Forum editor hates my phone.

A nearly insignificant part of the cost at that.

Flood "Ask the Devs" 44, folks, if and when they ever bother to announce it.

How much were earnings nerfed by? I haven't noticed a huge difference... I guesstimate good win might net me 165k instead of 200k. Are people really freaking out about that?

Looks like roughly 15-20%ish, but I'm not positive. I haven't seen anyone freaking out about it, but obviously people aren't happy - which is to be expected.

I know, as a casual player, it's pretty crappy. I do reasonably well, and almost always run premium time, but I only get a couple matches in per day. Even if I bought mechs with MC (I do, in fact), buying things like modules can take weeks of saving time.

Was getting between 200 and 250k before. Now it's below 150k.

Yes. So? PGI needs payment for this game to survive. And that's fair. But it needs incentive to pay...that's all I'm saying.

To be fair 250k with a hero mech was a bit high, but I'm now getting 100k where before I'd get 150 for a decent performance which is sucky.

The thinking was that four more mechs meant you'd get more cash from assists and saviour kills, but it hasn't worked out that way unless I'm in a scout I'll usually assist on four mechs if I'm lucky, and getting multiple kills is harder now not killed more than four in a match since 12v 12 came in.

Its not just the actual income per match, its also the match length. After taking everything in to consideration your c-bills per hour will be at about 50% of what they used to be.

invest in mech bays like I did. Got 20 mechs now and fun is endless, I don't even look at money and how much I get and I never payed for premium. The way is the goal.

The people who have been playing and just about figured out what type of mechs they like and have what they want will probably learn to deal with it. Newer people will probably not stay and suffer through the grind to get there.

Eh, they will. People are weird that way, the vast majority seem to like grinding. Baffles me.

But I don't have the time to play as much. 20 mechs, phew. I guess I'd play for over a year to get that.

For those who don't have the time, there is Premium though. Which brings us back to the beginning...full circle.

If I am giving money to PGI by paying for a significant increase in c-bills per match, should be worth the money, as I am not surrounded by money. Premium time should give 200% or more per match for c-bills. I am paying for PGI to boost my c-Bills, NOT to boost my C-Bills per match only for a LITTLE bit more. If they raise the Premium time cost to add more of a bonus to my c-bill per match, ts not worth it as the reason was mention earlier. I can get an entire new game for the cost of a week or month of MWO premium time, I would rather spend more money on indie games in this scenario.

Agree entirely, premium is not worth the money right now. CAn't suspend premium time and it should only activate per match...not to mention how little the bonus is to c-bills. In addition, so much premium time wasted on the MWO screen and more.

The only reason I bought the PP was I am enjoying the game right now and it was a good deal, Not going to spend any more MC on mechs / Premium time unless they really drop in price.

Add up how much it would cost to build the mech you are currently playing. (include engine, upgrades modules and such)

In my Jenner (without premuim time) at say an adv of 100,000 per match with a lucky 8 mins per. It would take "close" to 30 hours to build. And thats an under 3 mill chasis and only 2 module slots. I feel reeeeallly sorry for those who prefer assault mechs.

This is a ridiculously stupid argument.

If people do not play because of this, you have less people to fight against.

Also, if people feel like they have to PAY for something they should get for FREE, they will move on to a different game. This game is not THAT FUN to GRIND through.
