I see no difficulties in earning enough money for new mechs, and I play only an hour per day or less. I like the way it is now: if you do not like it, then just move on.

Oh yea, you know what, you're right. Why would i want to stay for a game that i paid $120 for and obviously have no investment in? it's certainly not an online game that dynamically changes and can fight for change. Nope. Would you like a side of sarcasm with that? :)

We were being overpaid. PGI is in the process of fixing that. Instead of complaining, be grateful that you got a few months of making more than you should have. Not everyone got that advantage.

So instead of applying the fix and adjusting earnings at the exact same patch, they decide to nerf our earnings and how long until we get contracting? Seriously, just a post or two above you shows how flawed that reasoning is. I nearly lost my mind when I saw that an Assault costs $25. That's right up there with how insane Digital Extremes is pricing their Warframes (think Mechs). Some of them, which are more like Atlas/Stalker/Victor/Highlander instead of AS7-D-DC/STK-3F/Jenner/Centurion/Hunchback, will cost nearly $20.

Everyone that played before the nerf got that advantage.........
Also 100 matches for a single mech is not overpaid.

Actually, over 100 matches sounds about right for a new Assault, going completely off the rails of anything logical and applying video game logic to it, instead.

If we were being overpaid, applying a nerf and a buff at the same time would make no sense.

Right. EVERYONE to this point got that advantage. Consider it a gift for participating in Open Beta.
Overpaid is whatever the "employer" thinks it is, not the "employee". 100 matches for an Atlas is, if anything, too soon. In the BT universe, only a very few of the top pilots actually drove 100 ton mechs.

That's some pretty FYGM thinking there, buddy. Some of us care about new players.

I care about new players. I have been vocal about a tutorial and allowing solo-only queues. The cadet bonus of 25 games could be lengthened to help them out, and trial mechs should all be champions.

With no R&R, it is IMPOSSIBLE to LOSE C-bills, unlike when many of US started playing.

Ok if we are going by BT universe, did those top pilots need 3 of each mech before he got better and mastered it? 30 million to master one mech, is insane amount of grinding as it was. I admit i caved and just bought my other 2 atlas's with MC. I've never owned more than 20 million. Maybe just bad money management, but i have a hard time even feel like it's worth my time anymore when i launch mwo because i know my reward will be crap. The fun factor only gets me so far.

Well their economy change cost them me buying the Wang this last weekend and now this Patch with further reduced rewards is going to cost them my renewed Premium subscription which runs out in less than 2 weeks. In fact I am with the OP right now, there is no way in hell I am going to invest more real money in this game at least until they get things worked out with the economy and get it adjusted back up.

If follow your logic even 10k max is a great profit because there is no R&R. In the current meta I have 50-100k for defeat and 60-120 for victory w/o premium. There is nothing to do atm than grinding c-bills for new mechs but after the last patch (12vs12) it takes more time and effort. Maybe after implementing of the loyalty points system reduced c-bills will have sense but for now it's a pure nerf that killed my interest even to touch this game atm.

Do you make 10K per day at work? Do you know how much a soldier makes per day? You are playing a game pretending to be a soldier. Unless you are the head of a Merc unit and able to negotiate a contract. Be happy you get paid at all.

Meh. Whatever. After today's patch and another broken promise by PGI (Players will NEVER have to play against 3PV players), I simply do not care anymore. I am uninstalling. I guess you can say the "passion has left me".

You can have my stuff. 350,000,000 C-bills. That should make up for any shortfall.

I have my own solution I just stopped playing. I bought the Overlord pack and I guess Ill be back for that but as it looks right now the game will more than likely look the same. If it is largely the same spending twice as much time grinding the same modes Ive been playing for over a year now is not looking palatable.
Taking without giving is not a great idea. If there was something new to do or a lot of extra content there would not be this outrage. One map every once in a while a new not all that exciting mech every month, yawn. We are bored and the solution is to make the game grindier? Wow that is just amazing.

By whos definition were we getting overpayed? I mean even with premium, a founder mechs and 3 hero mechs, I never could afford everything I wanted to buy and always has to be choosy about how I spent my C-bills. If I had just oddles and oddles of C-bills coming out my ears and owned one of everything in the game, then you could say I was overpaid.

What I was paid however was adequet to keep me from getting bored with the game or feeling I was on the grinding treadmill.

Now I don't even feel like logging in because I all I do is grind, grind, grind and really can't afford anything I want to buy. Seems almost a waste of time knowing I won't be able to afford that new mech I want for at least 4-5 days even if I play really hard.

I got to admit, this is part of the problem. I am just bored of doing the same thing over and over all that time. The only thing that breaks that boredom is buying a new mech then spending hours tweeking it to be the best mech I can make. However this only keeps me interested for 40-50 matches before I need something new again. Before the nerf, I could keep up with this pace and managed to buy a new mech about every 3 days which meant I would go through about 2-3 chassis a month while occassionally playing my older mechs to break up things now and again. Now I end up reaching my breaking point well before I can aford that new mech.

Your current modern soldier doesn't bring a fully fitted F/A-18, or an F-22, or an M1A1 Abrams tank, to his employer.

Also, it's a game where the point is to... Buy, fit, and fight in expensive battlemechs.

I can currently do one of those things easily. Fight. I generally get rolled if my mech fit sucks. I struggle to fit said mech to feel like I don't suck, because I can't buy as much as quickly. So I get rolled more or I play other mechs I have fitted properly (if I have them, otherwise it's Trial mechs). Only that gets boring, because I need to play the other mech to get Master and Elite on the first one...

Guess what happens if I get bored? I stop playing MWO. If I stop, I don't buy anything. PGI lose any chance of MC from me at that point, because I'm not playing the game. I stop losing then, because I've moved on.

Also, what Viktor said above.
