RE: exclusive
I'm cool with flame being available to all, those poor artist/modelers assets should reach the widest audience possible and continue to generate revenue, adapting it to each mech and variation can't be easy fast or fun, it was free bonus t phoenix purchasers andwas never a sure thing (till a few days ago) the pettiness of some post, dang it I like reading the forum but not those posts I must reply...  :doublefacepalm: :footmouth:

PS. Where's the mech merch? Coffee mugs, statues/models, body pillow case? 8D

I don't even care about the "exclusivity" but why do people think it wasn't a sure thing? THERE WAS NO AMOUNT SET. The bar filled at PGI's discretion and filled exactly as predicted. Just before the sale is ending to ensure they could say they hit their "goal" and close enough to push people who thought it was real. The exclusivity is just PGI's usual ineptitude at work, but the bar was going to fill no matter how many they sold or how many refunds they processed. Otherwise their would be an amount listed.

Nor did you read anything else... the pattern is this month's camo addition so it'll be coming in the next patch.

By the way... where's our cup holder in cockpit?!

Remember, 'eject' may open the cup holder on your PC, but it does something very different in a 'mech

It's funny because we still don't have an eject option. Wait, that's the other emotion

FFS PGI! Tell us what we need to know about our faction medallion choices already! Are you intentionally waiting to tell us whats going on with faction benefits to mitigate refund requests seeing as it's too late to even get a refund?

Mr. Vela Terentius:

That would require PGI to have any progress on the "Life in the Loyalist Faction" past Phase 1 of design (as per the October Creative Update). If I was a good developer, I'd type out a little message along the lines of "Pick whatever medallion you like, when we actually have some bonuses/ability to spend loyalty points on factions, we'll let you re-pick."

My guess is that it's probably 50/50 of that actually happening. Maybe they'll say that something about the UI will not allow you re-select, or that it will be a feature in UI 3.0.

One can always hope though.

Welp, looks like this little issue got cleared up. Now no one will be confused by the incorrect usage of the word, "exclusive".

I will take you up on that bet, because I know plenty who have already taken the money and spent it on Star Citizen or War Thunder instead and won't care.

Do they cry as much on those forums? at least here they'd get to see something for their money and be disappointed now that it didn't live up to their standards, with Star Citizen they're gonna have to wait another 3 years and good luck getting your money back then :D

Or, you know, just don't pick one... or wait till you read the patchnotes, because, you know, you can't pick anything yet and the knowledge of anything related to it is mostly irrelevant till we have the notes and the patch is going live.

There's stuff produced, shown off, and teased almost daily now.

It's not like we have a silly little module already that lets us play around with assets, or anything.

And they cry much, much more there than you could possibly imagine. It's one of those game forums you should never visit.

War Thunder's incomplete right now-- players can only control aircraft out of eventual land/air/sea combat-- but is already packed full of a wide array of maps and game modes that are surprisingly beautiful considering you can't even experience them up close and it feels far more complete than several released titles. A large and ever-growing array of aircraft are also there, with a very effective matchmaking system that keeps things balanced. It runs like a champ even on older systems, alt-tabs wonderfully, and has a really great soundtrack. Oh, and I believe the tank portion of the game becomes available in early November.

As for Star Citizen, it is ridiculously ambitious. I think that's why they release regular magazine-style updates, periodically they release these really awesome "commercials" and "marketing brochures" styled as in-universe advertisements for new ships and variants, have a weekly video update with developer interviews and fan questions, and have had several lengthy live-streaming events. As far as seeing something for their money, SC's actually releasing the game as they get things done, the hangar module's out for a while and has had several updates so far, and the dogfighting/flight alpha's not too far off.

Now they're going to worry about whether or not there is a "Hotrod" pattern or a "Flame" pattern. Calling it.

Calling it now: Someone will be upset they can't apply the "Hotrod" pattern to their Flame Dragon variant, because obviously that pattern title implies it's a special pattern for the Flame.

Just wait and see, we all know it will happen.
