Also I think I saw some mention of the loyalty program in the patch notes, is all this supposed to be about project phoenix page that was updated yesterday? I'm confused.

They are even complaining that "it took a dev 24 pages to answer", "their goals are insanely high"

I like the game, I like what your doing with it, but I'd have preferred this was set up like the founders mechs that you could pick what mechs you got. I'll just have to wait till January and make do with the vanilla variants.

Well if it ain't the "loyalty" extras then what is this "now online" thing supposed to mean on the project phoenix front page image?
"Now Online" means that the additional item has been unlocked with Project Phoenix packages. It's just like Steam unlocks for preorder games. Just because there have been enough preorders for Lost Planet 3 on Steam to unlock the Freedom Fighter Pack doesn't mean you get it right then and there, you have to wait for the package to be released.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, wasn't PGI trying to make some agreement with Steam a while back?

I agree. It would heave been better if PGI allowed the buyer to chose what mech they get. More people would have bought into the program over all if they could chose the mech. The Battlemaster may be the most popular out of the set, but eighty dollars to get one is very steep. It's easier to spend the first or second tier costs. PGI might also get more sales in the long run.

My first thought was.. ..well we want to give this away, but want to sell mechs.. ..so if its not likely to be reached by october maybe we can miff the numbers a little to unlock it for everyone

I was looking at that too, they claim to have released the colors already but I'm not seeing them.

I'm figuring since they didn't put totals they can just reduce the totals they were looking for so it will look like the bar is moving up even if they don't sell anymore. Kind of like how they made the player counter disappear once it started to show a decline. And people say they can't manage a community.

This is really not that hard, people. The exclusive colors for the Phoenix packages come with the exclusive Phoenix 'mechs. The 'mechs don't show up until Oct. 15, therefore the colors don't show up until Oct. 15. If you got a Phoenix package, you get everything Oct. 15.
EDIT: Here's an image, hopefully it's clear enough:

Err... so what's the point of that whole "Phase 1,2,3 unlocked/locked" countdown on the website?
At first glance this looks like they already *are* unlocked right now, since it says, well, "unlocked" on the site.
*scratcheshead*
