Also, if you don't like 3PV just disable it from startup.. I did, and I promptly got on with my life.

I am astounded by the total lack of respect that they have repeatedly displayed here in the forums, on reddit, and twitter.
Russ Bullock should be ashamed of his so called apology. He should also be ashamed by how badly he, as CEO, has managed his company and how it interacts with the community that is its lifeblood.
A little more on topic. The lack of a 1st person only queue is going to be a deal breaker for a great many people.

You are making paying players quit all to test this 3rd person view?!? You are throwing away PAYING customers in hopes of gaining some from a wider market??
This tells me there could be a couple of reasons.
1. You are not making enough money to stay in business and are grasping at anything.
or
2. You do not care about the people that have dropped wads of money on this yet to be released game.
So... which is it?
You could have very easily made it so we could toggle it but you CHOSE not to because you know if you did NO ONE would test it. That right there should tell you something!

So how is this not giving the player an advantage in a split 1pv/3pv match?
The lies and broken promises are one thing but this no advantages with 3pv is a joke...

A perfect video I will continue to post because it shows PERFECTLY how 3PV is beeing used to peek over and around cover without the risk of getting hit.
And another possible exploit a very short video I made.
In 3PV you don't go nearly blind by incoming fire !

You could have picked somewhere more open and brighter than the tunnel to demonstrate that. You would have been able to see even better without the HDR problem in the dark and it looks like the camera was hitting the ceiling. Anyway, no more blinding and shaking people if they can just hit F4 and see perfectly.

3PV gives a significant tactical advantage, and forces you play outside your cockpit or be gimped.
I am done until its out of the game, or 1PV only que is established.
It sucks, I was so excited to play with my friends tonight, but the crappy "arcade" view was just to much, switch backed to Cockpit view only to be aggravated by the fact that I was gimping myself by being in 1PV. . .Just killed my enjoyement completely.
Fix this.

One of the 'mechs is already slamming on the reverse during an "oh crab!" -moment and about to get a faceful of PPC and other nasties. The other one has been observing the situation for a while now without any fear of retaliation (Although I wandered a bit too high and judging by the attempts to tag and lase me either the drone or a very small part of the 'mech were already visible). Guess what they did differently?
Moments later the firing squad on the opposite side was doing something else and there was a lonely 'mech in the caldera with his back turned at me. Guess what happened then (note my equipment)? I could almost hear the rear-penetrated person going "Ha! We saw your blinking beacon!".
