I am officially on financial boycott and will not be playing much if at all until I see some positive direction from Management. My hope is that they brighten up and start building a great game. My fear is this is now status quo and we will watch this die shortly as they fail to prioritize the real issues over the fluff.
Alienating paying customers in an attempt to gain potential customers is very bad business when it could easily have been avoided. Going for both is fine,
I pointed this out many moons ago when you were/and still are determined to focus solely on team base play when setting up for both teams and free-for-all is not that difficult. Lost players = lost revenues

This is by far one of the worst LIES I have paid for. I have given PGI/IGP about $140 for content in this game. Because I love shooting lasers from my robots and striking other robots with them. It's what I do. It's fun, I don't care about grinding C-bills, I care about game play.
3rd person view does not belong in a simulator game such as this. Simulation was the intention, and regardless of whether or not the publisher forced this decision or the developers think their job is hard or whatever excuse you ate for breakfast this morning... this was a poor decision, and if you can't see that, or won't admit to it, then it is undoubtedly fear induced by a loss of a paycheck.
The so called apology is a bunch of excuses, and this is about even with the reply of Maxis regarding SimCity. Keep this up, and maybe you will find yourself with the same reputation as EA.
This community has given these companies millions, and frankly, I don't care who's 10 year old doesn't understand mech movement mechanics. Sarah knew how to move a mech... and she didn't have 3rd person view to teach her anything. And yet we continue to hear these excuses about 3rd person view, the countless posts from developers and the like saying it would never happen, yet it did.
Iv'e had enough of this. I'm not giving this game, or these companies another dime until I see a product that resembles what was suggested at the beginning of this. Clearly I gave them too much anyway... and truly wonder now what they are spending this on. I wonder if you are taking the money we give you for Mechwarrior and pumping it into another project.
Both Piranha and Infinite should feel ashamed of themselves. I can deal with the penny mongering flash sales, and the lack of new content. But you changed game play, and if I feel forced to use this change to "even the odds so I do not feel I am at a disadvantage" then you have ruined a part of this game. Please focus on the parts of this game that matter. Maps, Mechs, and trying to retain as much fundamental Mechwarrior game play as possible.

A small explanation if you didn't get the point of this video:
AC2/AC5 fast fire prevents you from fighting back effectively because everything shakes and explosion and smoke impairs your vision.
And then comes 3PV and that's all over.
Another thing: I bet you a cookie and 20 goats that once this game becomes really competitive (where winning doesn't just give you XP and C-Bills) there will be LOADS of people exploiting 3PV to their advantage in ways some didn't even think about.
PGI - Make an effort to really change this, please. Me and others love this game too much to give up right away, but the mood to play isn't the best and getting worst...

Unlike the very rare Spider bug I'm afraid this one with the Atlas is a bit more common, with situations like this arising on just about all the maps at several locations. I hope you can fix this one as well!
Oh btw, I'm having quite severe problems piloting my 'mech from this view, since not only is the most important tool for legs/torso coordination missing (the minimap), I can't really seem to see my legs very much at all.
