Seeing as they comprise a large portion of the Liao house, they already are a clan house.

Planet aquisition here though will be limited by devs, they can't just rampage around and take all the capital worlds.

Congrats on being the best "clan" in WoT. but again this game will be split into clans, and houses... so you might be the best, clan... but your might as a clan will never match the might of an entire house.

So the might of Clan Smoke Jaguar, Ghost Bear, Wolf, Nova Cat, and Jade Turkey will never match that of the Glorious Draconis Combine?
Smeg yeah!

As for the Drac. Comb. what happens happens. I won't be shedding any tears if they get zerg'd on an interplanetary level.

Eh, fluff-wise mostly impossible.
Military-speaking, the Combine is one of the strongest prior to the invasion.
It was one of the strongest during the Star League, during the early succession wars, etc.
The Dragon perseveres.
The Yellow Bird dies.

They can try, but we'll go Ryuken on their buttocks.

According to some Doomsayers, we goons ARE House Liao which is just silly. How silly is that?

Also, the only three things House Kurita did right, make the Snub-Nosed PPC, the Hatamoto-Chi and retake a world from Clan Nova Cat via a honorable trial of possession via Microsoft Flight Simulator. And I am grateful for all three.

Wait, what? I've heard of Trials via coin tosses, American Football, Drinking Contests and arm wrestling, but I've never heard of this one, got a link or other details?

I was trying to point out that we're not a bunch of idiots who rely on mass numbers to win games, though I guess people keep parroting that old accusation because it makes them feel better.

I was not saying we're going to be THE best group of players in the Inner Sphere (but we'll probably be quite good).

Information from Sarna.net leads me to believe it was the world of Juazeiro, but I can't find the exact origin of that tale. But it was apart of a rough summery of how Clan Nova Cat only performed a good portion of their trails as a honor bound formality.

On the other hand, the world of Irece was won from the clans via a drinking contest so I guess that is another point for the Draconis Combine and the 2nd An Ting Legion.

I really like how none of the posts in this topic contain both "I've played World of Tanks at a sixth-grade reading level" and "Goons aren't terrifying."

There is timing in the whole life of the warrior, in his thriving and declining, in his harmony and discord. Similarly, there is timing in the Way of the merchant, in the rise and fall of capital. All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this. In strategy there are various timing considerations. From the outset you must know the applicable timing and the inapplicable timing, and from among the large and small things and the fast and slow timings find the relevant timing, first seeing the distance timing and the background timing. This is the main thing in strategy. It is especially important to know the background timing, otherwise your strategy will become uncertain.

They'll probably arrive only in Locusts the first few years, after that they become something to worry about.

There is no fast way of wielding the long sword. The long sword should be wielded broadly, and the companion sword closely. This is the first thing to realise. According to this Ichi school, you can win with a long weapon, and yet you can also win with a short weapon. In short, the Way of the Ichi school is the spirit of winning, whatever the weapon and whatever its size.

A long sword is usually wielded in two hands, not one...
Also, the largest school of Kenjutsu in the combine is Kashima Shinryū (鹿島神流).

When the fight comes, always endeavour to chase the enemy around to your left side. Chase him towards awkward places, and try to keep him with his back to awkward places. When the enemy gets into an inconvenient position, do not let him look around, but conscientiously chase him around and pin him down. In houses, chase the enemy into the thresholds, lintels, doors, verandas, pillars, and so on, again not letting him see his situation.

Always chase the enemy into bad footholds, obstacles at the side, and so on, using the virtues of the place to establish predominant positions from which to fight. You must research and train diligently in this.

Everything can collapse. Houses, bodies, and enemies collapse when their rhythm becomes deranged.

In large-scale strategy, when the enemy starts to collapse, you must pursue him without letting the chance go. If you fail to take advantage of your enemies' collapse, they may recover.

In single combat, the enemy sometimes loses timing and collapses. If you let this opportunity pass, he may recover and not be so negligent thereafter. Fix your eye on the enemy's collapse, and chase him, attacking so that you do not let him recover. You must do this. The chasing attack is with a strong spirit. You must utterly cut the enemy down so that he does not recover his position. You must understand how to utterly cut down the enemy.

If you must engage your enemy after a 1000 mile journey
make sure it was HIS journey

The Mittani is a man of wealth and taste, he will not stoop to fighting worms while there are men standing against him, you Kuritas have nothing to worry about.

I ain't worried about the Goons. I was putting them in their place back in my EVE days, I can do it again here.

Screw your swag, I've got class. Now, where's my Daishi?

Emphasis mine. This is the least classy thing a self-aware player could say. Dire Wolves, more than many other Clan Assaults, are made of concentrated bullshittium and the only person who could ever pilot one without looking like a total arse was Natasha Kerensky, and only because she'd already made a name for herself as the greatest 'Mechwarrior of all time long before returning to her Clan and nobody calls Nasty Kerensky an arse and lives to tell the tale. Note that her accomplishments are counterbalanced by the fact that she was grown in a vat, but hey it's not like anyone even knew what the Clans were when the Dragoons were kicking things over in 3025. Daishis are overpowered because Clantech is overpowered, and to this day the devs themselves say they'd balance Clantech differently had they known then what they know now. Now on the other hand a Hatamoto-Chi is a classy homegrown Assault manufactured in none other than the Draconis Combine, sir. Granted, it's basically a Thug that looks like a samurai, but that's not a bad thing.

this is a video game guys

just remember that. Also what plan are you gonna have? Stock up ppc tanks somewhere? Hope more bad players joined their faction than yours? You are talking thousands of players, even if everyone on these forum agreed, 95% of the players in those fights don't know the game exists yet.

This is all just ____ waving and huffahing as people get hyped up for a game, in the end it's gonna be you most of the time hoping your team is less dumb than theirs, and if you have a regular 12 players you already won 99% of your games if you are at all serious so you'll probably be happy for a challenge. If they do something "cheap" just copy it the next game.

Let's all just hope the game is fun and balanced before worrying about forum warriors and "troll the pubbies" groups. Franky IDC if my "team" is winning or not, since it's just 12v12 in the end.
