Try not to get your feathers ruffled when the other side starts to squawk loudly. This is surprisingly very difficult for some people, and it lends Goons a psychological edge. Even better's the fact that everyone, Goons or otherwise, knows this but for some reason people can't help but get very, very bothered by it. I'm still amused. And you all should be, too. But if you're a person who doesn't know how to have fun? You're probably not very amused by either side of it.
Try not to get legged. The honorbound might not like it, but it's legit and by gum they're gonna do it. Heck, any smart player'll try to do it. Why do you think TComps and called shots are so bullshit in tabletop? And if there's ever an option to remove leg armor to free up space, don't do it you ninny.
Try to be careful for swarms of Jenners kitted with flamers.
Try not to be angry when you inevitably face a company filled with Jennerburners.
[You will probably win! They were only doing it for laughs, anyway.]
Best of all, have fun and be a gentleman. Or lady. Who knows? You might find yourself having tea with an anthropomorphic birdperson. Or a FedSun farmer-soldier in a chicken suit. Whichever works. Just be civilized.

In large-scale strategy, when the enemy starts to collapse, you must pursue him without letting the chance go. If you fail to take advantage of your enemies' collapse, they may recover.
In single combat, the enemy sometimes loses timing and collapses. If you let this opportunity pass, he may recover and not be so negligent thereafter. Fix your eye on the enemy's collapse, and chase him, attacking so that you do not let him recover. You must do this. The chasing attack is with a strong spirit. You must utterly cut the enemy down so that he does not recover his position. You must understand how to utterly cut down the enemy.
I'm gonna go on a limb here and say, Miyamoto Musashi, it's been awhile since I've read the book of five rings. Sounds like him though.

just remember that. Also what plan are you gonna have? Stock up ppc tanks somewhere? Hope more bad players joined their faction than yours? You are talking thousands of players, even if everyone on these forum agreed, 95% of the players in those fights don't know the game exists yet.
This is all just ____ waving and huffahing as people get hyped up for a game, in the end it's gonna be you most of the time hoping your team is less dumb than theirs, and if you have a regular 12 players you already won 99% of your games if you are at all serious so you'll probably be happy for a challenge. If they do something "cheap" just copy it the next game.
Let's all just hope the game is fun and balanced before worrying about forum warriors and "troll the pubbies" groups. Franky IDC if my "team" is winning or not, since it's just 12v12 in the end.
Ya guys, do what this guy says. There is nothing to worry about, there isnt anything you can do, and we couldnt do anything even if we tried.
Sage advice, follow it.

The best part about picking space birds for our Unit is moments like this. We no longer have to seed anything, pubbies are perfectly happy to just post the most insane sounding, off topic bull, in any thread they can regardless of the context.
You can't buy publicity like this.

Unfortunately a few people seem to have taken offense to this.
it might be, because your group is loud, and very annoying. That and they tried to completely take over House Liao. Yeah you guys got heat early on, but that's because well..you have a history(specifically in EVE) of earning that heat. Had you guys been...more calm i think people would have been better. but that's my 2 cents.
Also it's not like Liao hasn't totally taken over davion space before...stupid devs with the roll back...

i thought they were making legging a poor tactical decision(uping the armour on legs by 4 times what it should be?). Also the flamer idea depends on how they have the flamer work(i haven't seen if it's just going to be straight damage or if it will add heat to the opposing mech). and even then they would still want to have a lance or so of heavy hitters. unless they really feel ballsy. which if they take me down that way, more props to them.

It's actually based off of the Charger chassis.

Except that the internal structure is the same as that of the Thug.
Same brand, same name, same type (Endo-Steel).
Armaments are the same.
Its mostly a hybrid.
And mind you, it is rather rare that different 'Mechs share the same internal structure.

We've been compared to the Nazi's and the Holocaust on these very forums.
When we attempt to engage the community in discussion by offering suggestions that we think will make the game more fun and engaging we're shouted down and accused of trying to influence the developers into making a game we can exploit and grief.
The Mittani has been personally attacked on these very forums and there have been several (now deleted) threads that asked him to kill himself.
Several users have basically called us human filth, along with other expletives.
Meanwhile the most we do is poke fun at the canon and House Liao by pretending we're a one-off alien race that has taken over the Capellan Confederation.
All things considered I believe we've been quite calm.

You just need to be more disciplined and organised than they are.
I am thinking more teamwork, that is how the game is best played, i go by the old tabletop addage-"pick a target and make it dead" rinse and repeat.

Why were we hated? Because we were the best. We used a tactic the others considered "noobish", but you know what, we never died, and we reaped the fields all night long every night.
Threads like this make me want to join the Goonswarm. As long as I dont have to hear "Tenbux tenbux tenbux" over and over, I bet they are more fun then a bunch of tight-bummed players.
