In the case of the Federated Suns, their biggest advantage, and problem is basically, "Stackpola". Many of their experienced players started out Davion because of Stackpola, but they'll be flooded with newbs because of, Stackpola.

As stated before from many other people the odds are that MWO won't be the same like EVE, which means it comes down to quality and not quantity.
If I'd be one of them I'd surely had a great laugh looking all over these "omgomgomggoons" threads in the forum.
I wish most of you people would be actually half as decent in the game as you're in making new (whiny) forum posts. But I'm betting about 90 % over here are chatwarriors anyway. "Damn it FedCom Surat - you've taken my small laser!" won't cut it. Seriously.
As for winning in WoT: I don't know how you omgomgomggoons lol people archived these wins, but it shouldn't be much of a problem with gold ammo (I'm ashamed to admit that I know people who have spent up to 600 (!) bucks on this joke of a game) and in the end it's "only" a 2:1 ratio anyway (no offense intended).
I only want to say that it is easily possible to "buy" wins in WoT by sending more money on it then everyone else. Dunno if you people have done this or not since I weren't there. :/
Btw that's what I'd call beeing "good".

But realisticly the only way goons have so much control in EVE is because it's a literal sandbox, I imagine there would be set battles to decide who owns what planet, not "oh noes teh goonz are comin"
but in all seriousness, It's about damn time they came out with a new MW game, and a pretty Bad *** lookin one at that, Can't wait to see you all on the battlefield O7

Kapteyn has been pretty much a dead letter since the 4th Succession War.
It got revived a bit.
And it is technically still in effect.

So yeah, house units.
Genyosha, Ryuken, Swords of Light, Ghost Regiments, Otomo, Izanagi Warriors.
Besides, our premier 'Mech academy turns out 400 MechWarriors highly trained MechWarriors a year.
I think we'll be safe.
PS. House Units typically have far better equipment than merc units.
Especially prior to the clan invasion.
All recovered Star League technology goes to premier house units first, then the other house units, then the disrespected house units, and anything that remains gets sold on the open market (e.g. nothing).
Only high-profile merc units (Northwind Highlanders, Kell Hounds, Grey Death Legion, Wolf's Dragoons) have a reasonable chance to have Star League technology (or ClanTech in case of Wolf's Dragoons).

In all honesty you guys should focus less on functioning like a Marik Council and more like a military doctrine. Even if you do come across a Goon Company(are we using Inner Sphere formation naming conventions or Comstar formation naming conventions?) or I guess the Pair of Level 2 Goons in combat. We are all using the same tech and mechs and get the job done all the same. The only difference is that we do it with style.
I really hope that the Chaos Sphere(I think that is the name of the region around Terra) is all disputable, that way we can get 6 way free for alls). Hell, upping the mech count on a team to a reinforced company or even a battalion would be pretty swell as well.
