yep, and it hasnt changed a damn thing.

I've seen a bunch of videos showing HOW it can be exploited, but no videos showing that it's the reason for winning or how it's UBER OP and has changed the game for the worse.

At best it's a free module that everyone gets that doesnt really give much of an actual advantage.

I've been owning with it.

Do I take it at face value? I would tentatively believe that it is an apology, until it was proven otherwise. I wouldn't assume it was something else, as doing so is nothing short of monstrous and disgusting. No, I don't want to be associated with that.

No you don't have to link, I know the posts you're talking about. Black and white ehy. You do realize those were design docs, right. Yes, it was a mistake showing that to the community, all communication is taken as gospel.

Yes designs can evolve but when a game is sold as 1pv only to the founders, and further money solicited with this posted:

Any reasonable person can understand why this would make people who gave you money absolutely livid.

its just a bit silly to ***** about optional third person, claim how it's ruining the game, and then threaten to quit this one and go play a similar game with 3rd person view.

it just makes it look like what it is, a tantrum.

It is equally silly to assume that the talked about feature (3PV) is like some sort of fixed-value feature added to some games and not to others, as if they have the same equal effect on all games. And to assume that it is implemented in the same way or at the same degree of availability. And to assume that said feature even only has one effect on the game. And to assume that said feature is not just a point of contention in terms of gameplay, but in community relations or even other aspects of the game.

I mean, good job...your posts looks like what it is. Fallacy, and lazy thinking.

Pathetic truly Pathetic, this is the biggest copout i have yet seen, i Pug only but you are not allowing for me to have a voice in this poll.

I do not want to have to play against others that use 3pv in a match I am only for 1pv.

This poll is nothing more than a poor excuse for PGI to say we listened to our community and this is what they wanted..........this is just wrong.

Are you really afraid that if you split the 1PV/3PV you will find that all the time and money that was spent for 3PV was wasted, as suddenly the 3PV que would be next to empty?

Until this poll i was happy to continue with my funding of the pheonix project not anymore, refund now incoming.

On the ground you can use 3pv to look over and around cover. You think players in aircraft are going to use it to look over and around...What...clouds?

anecdotal evidence, yet the game still plays the same.

where are all of the threads showing how 3pv is actually ruining the game (not predictions). Where are the videos showing how it's a must have and how everyone is using it now, like when ECM was introduced and the entire game changed because of it? or when PPCs were fixed and changed the entire competative scene in to bullchip campfests of snipers?

Nothing has changed. the game still plays the same as it does, and it's rare to even see anyone using it. Competative play still plays the same (all sniping and bullchip campfests), and the game rolls on.

yes, you can peek around the corner and see me and know not to come out. i can see your drone and know not to go around that corner.

or you can line up your poptars on the ridge, peek over and know where we are. We can stand behind our hill, see that you're peeking and know where you are.

the advantage loses its advantage when you're advertising. "hey look, there's someone peeking around corners, go flank him and i';ll rush him and then we'll go kill him because he gave up his position."

like i keep saying, it's a minor advantage, that everyone has. I've never needed to even exploit it like that to benefit from someone else's exploiting it.

Oh dear - Particle - the irony here is that your argument is anecdotal also. With a game like this however it is the "anecdotal" experience which is important. If your game is unaffected that is excellent. If you don't experience a change as it is added, you wont mind if it is removed?

Are you serious? You haven't noticed all the screenshots, videos and detailed descriptions of how drastically it changes the game? Do you think the 10,000 or so posts in the last week are because we're happy about the situation? Any good player that's playing to win is using it and that doesn't mean you're going to SEE it.

i dont need to, i'm basing my stance on the actual gameplay, not a bunch of ******** whiners crying about how PGI lied to them like they're their girlfriend cheating on them or something. Every video i;ve seen is "Look at how i exploit this new mechanic" not "Look at how this mechanic is ruining the game". If it were game changing everyone would be using it all the time, like seizmic. and the wins/losses would be obvious and noticable, not hypothetical and anecdotal stories.

Proposal: Limit 12 v 12 pre-made group matches to 1PV only.

I never had illusions that you take your players for stupid, but this is just hilarious.

You are basically giving players the option to choose between saying yes to a very limited 1PV mode (12v12 premade? sure.. whatever) or saying no, which you can then interpret any way you want, and we all know the interpretation you will choose.

Well, my vote is:
C. None of the above, and eff you for even trying to shove that kind of poll down our throat.

There already was a poll about 1PV/3PV and it did pretty clearly show the player opinion. The very least I would expect is a poll with the same options, and not one thats solely designed to justify whatever you have already planned to do anyway.

Shame on you for even trying.

i would absolutely not mind in the slightest if it was removed forever and never mentioned again. that's how much of an issue it isnt with me. I'm not even trying to stop the outrage, just the excessive whining and theorizing. *edit*; My hopes is that it would be added to the training room and left there. Thats for nubs to learn to play and use mechs in the first place, isnt it? leave the noob tools in there then and keep it out of the real game. But they didnt do that and THIS is what we have instead.

by all means, take out that worthless feature! I dont want it at all, but it's not some game destroying feature, just a useless one. its all the pretending that this is a big deal that i find annoying. it's not going to change the game any, but it also isnt really going to help it any, particularly as a default

*edit*
also, i know my stance is also anecdotal, but if the nay-sayers can use their anecdotal evidence as indisputable proof, then i can too. if my anecdotal evidence isnt valid, then all of theirs isnt either.

To those voting yes:

I sincerely hope you realize that by voting yes, you're also voting yes to
  • The public queues will remain a mix of 1PV and 3PV modes
  • Hardcore mode will be removed from the drop down list.
If you don't agree to this, the only way to show it is to remove your vote.

This is the sneakiest, most underhanded way of doing a poll imaginable; it's quite common in politics, where an unpopular or divisive question is (usually at the last minute, after debate) added to a popular or non-divisive vote as a "rider", so that anyone voting yes to the easy, popular, and straightforward question is also voting yes to the more divisive or unpopular option.

Shame on you PGI for not just asking the simple question.
