Okay, firstly I don't think any founder was cheated out of anything, however I still can't feel slighted, just a tad - but hear me out first if you wanna bash or wizz on my cornflakes, okay? Not to mention the fact, let's keep 3PV out of this discussion please, as it's already been mentioned by someone that this new Phoenix Pack has been in the works. That much is obvious.. to many of us at least.

I enjoyed my time as a closed beta participant, and at the time I was limited as to what I would shell out to "kickstart" a new MechWarrior game. LoL was fun but to me that's kind of along the lines of what I expected here. I soon found out that was not the case but you couldn't simply "up" your founder package as you can with the phoenix proposal. Anyhow, none of that really matters. What holds merit is even if I had spent $120 I would still feel I got my moneys worth.

Now I am looking at this incredible Phoenix Package has reached $110 with a total of 6 more mechs, two of which are limited edition variants, I can't help but feel slighted just a little bit, but at the end of the day I do believe this is an awesome package and a great deal. Next payday I'll be topping off the Overlord Pack with the Wolvy and Griffin, w00t!

Took a while for the progress bar on Phoenix to go from 50 to 60, but it spiked right up to 70 w/this announcement. Guess PGI knows where their bread is buttered after all.

While 3PV doesn't bother me much because I'm not a good enough player to be competitive anyway, I've been rather disappointed w/some of their more recent choices. Made only ~400k in a night of playing w/premium on (and a couple of those matches in a founders mech w/the C-bill bonus), which isn't exactly inspiring me to want to spend money on the game.

That said, it would seem the market has spoken, and I'm not going to try and rage about how important my money is. Sucks being on the wrong end of capitalism, especially with an IP you love, but it is what it is.

I made 450K+ in 2 matches with hero and premium. How the hell did you only make ~400k in a night???

I love it ... brilliant work by Alex and the rest of the art team.

I almost caved in, but then I remembered ... I promised no new money until you start to repair the trust you've broken with us over the past few months.

I'm excited about the game, want to buy these mechs, and want this game to be great for a long time ... but I made a promise, one that I intend to keep.

Show me that you can keep your promises, and I will happily start throwing you money again.

with mediums being my preferred mechs i am tempted to get these two too. but then my math voice chimed in and said. "hey you got 12 mechs already coming in overlord- by the time you get those all up to elite you'll have enough c-bills to buy these that way when they come out. you can only pilot one at a time ya know (shh don;t listen to the zerg for cbills plan they evilly whispered about in whichever update they just posted)."

Very pretty, but no thanks.

Until the devs can show us what they are going to do with the game in the next few years ~and~ start down the road to regaining our trust from all the lies, I will keep my money.

Us "vocal minority" will be listened to, or this game will fail. WE are your base of passionate caring players who you should be working WITH to make a great game.

I went and bought a FireFall open beta pack instead. Not because I don't like Wolverines or Griffons, or because I think Alex did a bad job (he didn't, just so's y'know), but because I figured it's about time I started supporting a developer whose game is actually making visible progress and who hasn't lied to me several times, whatever the justification.

Normally, I like to extend game developers the benefit of the doubt and the olive branch. Their job is hard, they get precious little thanks for it, and whatever we think of them, we still want what they make. But I just can't do that anymore here. I've already put too much money into MechWarrior for this to matter the slightest bit, but really...when third-party websites with no stake one way or the other are reporting on what a breathtaking mess one has made of their community relations, it says something.

Anyways. Just letting you, Piranha, know that you're losing customers over this, and not just angry screamos most devs want gone anyways. You're losing folks who would under other circumstances be overjoyed to throw you money and who have, for the past months, largely tried to have your back in all the screaming messes that erupt around here. Because throughout it all, I've felt like the devs have had my back, or at least tried to.

I don't feel that way anymore. I no longer feel, Piranha, as if you have my interests at heart. You don't have my back anymore, and Red 5 offered me some lovely bonuses to come and try their game for a while instead of yours. They also have some lovely TUTORIALS (let me emphasize that some more: TUTORIALS) to tell someone who hasn't ever played before, or who hasn't been around for a while, how the game works. So they got my money instead.

I would have preferred, on the whole, to give it to MechWarrior. But I can't in good conscience do that anymore, and I hate the fact that you've driven me to that, Piranha. MechWarrior 2 was the very first video game I ever owned, this is my franchise and has been for pretty much as long as I can remember, and it pains me greatly to have to turn away from it even a little. Why you gotta make me do that, guys?

Why don't you have my back anymore?

I already spent $80 on a game I can't play right now, I won't even consider spending more money on this game until the bug affecting AMD processors is fixed.

i must say this is impressive, people still have faith and will pay money for pgi to make and break on the overall quality of this product. you may think of us as bitter trolls but at least myself pokes these forums to just say keep your game up pgi. however people are still determined "we don't care what condition the game's in it's stompy robot fun have more monez!" i just hope you guys don't regret it and i hope you're not giving pgi the idea that they can keep the game developement at this poor quality level and still be profitable because that's what your money is also doing.

want a quality game? then start Tough loving, keep the money away and maybe they'll work on it instead of cashcowing this product to death and running away with your money when it's too poor for too many people.

Tie all the arms and legs together so you're like a conga line of mechs?

Every-time one gets taken out you've got another behind it to fight! XD

The Shadow Hawk looks to me like a Hunchback 4G Deluxe. Equip an AC/20 in the shoulder, add jump jets and a laser, and you might still be able to make a faster Shadow Hawk then Hunchback, with potentially more armor.

Of course, might be that the SH hitboxes will be worse than that of the HKB, but that's not easy to achieve.

well i been playing around in smurfy and if u want an ac 20 u will go as fast as a hunchback the best AC 20 medium is the super ugly little dwarf the black jack its arms are small so u wont luse it u can jump and shoot enemy's near ur leg a lot more flexible then hunch back oh and a bit faster too. shadow hawk will still be slower :) less flexible worser hitbox huge shoulder
a bit more armor but its wont work if u cant spread the damage properly.
i really hope the wolverine can have AC20 so i can exchange that ugly BJ to a better jumping and looking mech ;)

then ill buy it 4 sure

The only bug I can think of is one where some radeon cards (not cpus) can downclock when watching a flash video with hardware acceleration then don't rev back up to full speed when you launch a 3D game.

They should add it for free to Overlord owners! 80bucks for virtual stuff is too much anyway.

AND SEPARATE ******* 1PV and 3PV ! ! ! ! !

I have noticed on Frozen City (fixed, for me) / Frozen City Night if I play the game in full screen mode the buildings become blue blocks of color instead of buildings. This has been a known issue effecting ATI/AMD computers.

Other than that I blame my bad frames on a computer that's 4 years old... so if you could elaborate on the frame issue I'd be glad to know 8P

If the promo art with all of the Phoenix and Saber mechs in a line is correct...

The Griffin and Wolverine are ENORMOUS for Mediums.

Game's still a tech-demo. I would like to see more interesting game modes, rather than "Pound senselessly at eachother until the side with the longest boredom tolerance (patience) wins by default.

Stop selling goods that aren't ready within a month. These cash grabs are becoming incredibly obnoxious. The Saber Reinforcements should be released at the same time of the Phoenix Package if you're trying to pawn them off the Phoenix pack purchasers. If they were free bonuses to the Phoenix packs to sell additional packages that would be fine if the mechs were to be released later in December.

Okay, I'm new to the game, but I have already put in about thirty hours of gameplay. I have played ALL of the prior Mechwarrior games, from Crescent Hawk through MW4, even the crappy Xbox offerings. I have never in all my previous years of playing mech games had such difficulty in just staying alive in what I feel should have been an easy transition into MWO.

IMO the basic game mechanics of MWO are seriously flawed. Armor might as well not exist, because no matter what I do, 2 or 3 hits destroys a mech. Lock on times are ridiculously long. There are only two modes of gameplay that both end up as nothing more than Last Man Standing slug matches.

As a long time MW fan, what the h**l is there in this game that would make me want to play? As a new player, shouldn't I be able to survive long enough in a game to WANT to continue to play?

I weep. Instead of a rebirth for a beloved game franchise, this game is the Walking Dead zombie of series, and needs to be put down with a quick shotgun blast to the head...
