So what paid or not you cant be funny, Whatever continue to be angry about third, ill just play the game. glad im not a forum warrior.

I'm not that angry about 3rd person in and of itself. I have no plans to play competitively and 3pv will likely not have much effect on my play. I'm am or was angry at the lies, stalling and general incompetence coming out of PGI. I had some patience three months or so ago bur now I have none and to even attempt a joke requires a certain level of trust and camraderie. PGI has none and thus can't joke or at least shouldn't. Maybe they should try sincerity.

I approve of his post in the abstract. If it had come when the game was steaming ahead I would have laughed. As it is it feels jarring and disconnected. The strongest criticism of the art team I have seen is a few isolated opinions of mechs getting same'y. Otherwise that is the only thing that is consistently praised by everyone especially in this thread.

I'm not that happy to be a forum warrior I am forced to take a hiatus from the game due to CB nerf and 3PV. Also my preferred classes are mediums and lights. The first of which are pointless in 12v12 and the second I can only really excel in if I use PPC's. I want to brawl but PGI and the current culture of blobbing heavys and assaults won't let me. So forums it is

Bought. Now, to see the Phoenix $$$ in action. Overlord + Saber = starting to look like old-school BT, and I like that. If only we could rewind to 3026...

3026 would be ace !

Happily paid for. The mechs look great and may even be viable, or at least fun pug droppers. These are some of my favorite mechs from when I was a kid so I'll play them and love them for nostalgia if nothing else.

I'm just hoping PGI takes the money from this and PP and hires lawyers to beat down HG and get us the marauder, warhammer, archer, crusader, rifleman, longbow, stinger, wasp, phoenix hawk, heck even the ostol, ostroc, and ostscout. Then we could have all the old greats and also the old junkers too.

I want them all, I will buy them all.
PGI, get me my Wammy and marauder in recognizable form (like griffin, wolverine etc.) and all is forgiven.
I remain committed to this game, I may gripe and throw a fit now and then but I stay true.

How would you feel if PGI took the Phoenix Package and Reinforcement money and built the console expansion for MWO so that we can all play together? I do want to have a Warhammer and Marauder, as long as they dont do them the same injustice PGI gave the Awesome.

ARRRRRGH! Just as I thought I'll never need to spend any more money on MWO after getting all 4 Phoenix Mechs, PGI comes up with this! ;)
And now I own two more Mechs. Aww man, what can I do? I simply had to get these two as well! They are both old time favourites of mine.

Nice job from PGI reimaging the Griffin and the Wolverine. I really like their designs.
I hope that all they money PGI earns with the Phoenix Deal will actually be invested to improve the game as well.
I really like MWO a lot, but it still has some weak points that need some fixing.

I have purchased the Legendary Founder's Package for $120. (You've forgotten about us.)
I have purchased the Overlord Phoenix package for $80.
This is a FREE TO PLAY game.

I will not spend another cent on this game until it is at a level of quality that reflects its dedicated player-base.

If you want the "silent majority" you speak of, I am it.

Oh--and devs, please show me one of these "new, fresh" MWO inductees in your "important target demographic" that will spend $200+ on this game, in its current half-baked state.

Thank you.

Exactly it's free to play, if you don't want to pay anything don't you don't have to I'm not sure what you're complaining about you got EVERYTHING that was part of your founders pack (other than you names in the credits because there are no credits yet though I may be wrong) just because you bought one doesn't make you special.

Ummmmm, new to this drop site?

The Founders and players since, were promised quite a few things that either never manifested, or the opposite thing was implemented. You have some reading to catch up on, any thread will do these days.

***EDIT: And if you know better, then that's like saying, "Look lady, you got a sailing vessel, a warm stateroom, amazing meals, and a chance to be on the maiden voyage of the unsinkable Titanic! You got everything you paid for, the iceberg is free! Besides, DiCaprio wasn't really our target audience."

when i first read about these saber reinforcement mechs being part of the overlord package i thought they were free in addition to the whatever package you had chosen. then i thought that maybe the phoenix pack isn't a total rip off after all. but then i saw it had been separately monetized and i was like... $120 LEGENDARY Founder's Package Includes:

• All 4 exclusive “Founder's BattleMechs.” These Mechs include a lifetime, per-match C-Bill booster.
• $80 value of in-game currency* for in-game item purchases.
• Three-month premium account to MechWarrior Online at launch: Earn XP & C-Bills faster.
• Founder's Tag - sets your status apart from the crowd & get noticed in-game and on the forums.
• Game credits – The player’s name included as one of the “Legendary” in the MechWarrior Online game
• Early access to the game along with Founder's assets availability starts August 7th.

Pretty sure you got that buddy so stop crying. If you don't want to spend more money fine but don't think cause you jumped on the bandwagon early your so special to this company. They are still in beta and working things out with 1 more month to go. People need to learn how to play a beta without thinking they are in the building with the ultimate ability to say what should be in the game and what they want cut. If you don't like a feature then just don't use it.

P.S. And you payed $40 dollars for the Legendary package really since they gave you $80 of credits in the game that is just short of their 25k MC package now. I am sure plenty of people have bought that.

I know that most people like the mechs, but the unfortunate situation is that there are some that will take any and all reasons that they can to fan the flames. In the same vein they will continue to hold PGI in low regard because their particular issue/concern etc hasn't been addressed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not admonishing folks for having an opinion or for voicing it. It's just the manner in which it has been done of late has been increasingly on the toxic side and quite far from anything approaching constructive or helpful. In the end as Alfred the Butler once stated "Some people just want to watch the world burn." (or forums in this case).

to that, I cannot disagree. However, for that to have been his FIRST post, is a little toxic in itself. No one even knew about the guy before that, so How COULD we hate on him?

The door swings both ways.

Enough OT stuff for me. Enjoy your mechs ;)

Longbow will never happen sadly. It's part of Robotech/Macross.
Same as the following Mechs:
Archer, Rifleman, Warhammer, Wasp, Stinger, Phoenix Hawk, Crusader, Marauder, Stinger LAM, Wasp LAM and Phoenix Hawk LAM

Maybe we'll see some IIC version of some of these.

Urban Mech would be great though!

You mean the Archer, Rifleman, Warhammer, Wasp, Stinger, Phoenix Hawk, Crusader, Marauder, Stinger LAM, Wasp LAM and Phoenix Hawk LAM that we know will never happen.

All those mechs can be re-made to look different. Harmony Gold owns the rights to the graphic designs, not the names and loadouts.

So never say never!

The big question on everyones minds is will the urban mech look like a giant garbage can with legs and turret or a building with legs and a turret.
