I would have selected "mixed ques for 12 man gangs" if it meant some separation would be in sooner.
But guys there will be times were you want to play with your buddies and 1 of them just plays 10x better in 3pv.
That guy will always be a weak link then, mind you 1pv ain't hard ;)

The removed collisions and repair-and-reload. They can remove 3PV, or minimally create separate queues.

This is all just an act of stubbornness and will on the part of PGI at this point.

As good as the pool is (lots of options) and as good as is your intention to help PGI see what the beta-testers think about this issue, I've got some bad news for you, mate.

I'm not sure i trust the elo. I've seen a few new players dropping in pugs with me. They're the ones who say "How do i turn this 3pv off?" :)
Unless of course i really suck at MWO and have a low elo :)
In order to use 3pv for a whole match i think PGI would have to do a hell of a lot of work on it, as other than for "peeking" it's pretty much useless.
I'd prefer it to be limited to the training grounds/tutorial but we know that's not what PGI (and who knows how many players) wants.

I'd prefer if first person is the default view - I've seen a few too many disconnects with Alt-F4 instead of just switching views with F4. Other than that I really don't care - I played both views in MW4, would do so again, except the implementation of 3P in MWO pretty much sucks so I play first person anyway.

Switch to 1PV is F4,
To go back to 3PV, press ALT-F4.

=> Don't do this at home, kids. Trolling noobs is wrong, we need the new guys to like this game and its community.

Not sure about the hardpoints being worse though (although a lot of people on the forums say they are). I just buy mechs if i like how they look :)


that's one way to do it, it would too, but no matter how nice they look, i couldn't take the grind to get the cbills together

Yeah, I've seen it multiple times now in PUG games. Someone asks how to switch, someone else says it's "Alt-F4", then you get 1-3 disconnects in the next 30 seconds or so.

Explain yourself.

R&R and Collisions are both features that were removed. These two features have nothing in common (one is an in-game mech physics/interaction thing, the other is a post game UI thing) that would make them especially easy to remove.

Removing 3PV even temporarily would be simple: just set 1PV as default and disable the mappable input command for switching to 3PV. Its messier than deleting the code, but its definitely possible to do it and do it NOW.

So please, tell us. Why is it impossible to remove 3PV?

It's not going to happen, that is the whole purpose of the PGI poll they are looking for an out, and if I look at the yes votes they are getting it. I gave up it is like ******* into a storm.

2) The poll didn't even get 24 hours.

3) The poll wasn't announced to the community at large (even Paul's SRM 2.0 damage buff vote lasted longer).

Clearly, PGI "listens" to people like listening to a parent that keeps rambling on for no particular reason... just blocking all incoming messages.

Every time i think they can't be stupid enough to do something they do it.

I have no doubt in my mind that the decision was made before the poll was even made, and worded to ensure it.

It was not really a poll and definitely not a way to get real feedback.

Just a way to concede a little bit and then have a card to counter the "liars" argument.

I must say it was well planned and executed, not considering ethics of course.
