Xeno I noticed you tossed CASE in the LT and RT, as far as I'm aware it only contains the ammo explosion in the sections that it is installed. I don't think it will stop damage transference from the arms to either torso. So you would probably be better off storing that ammo in the torso if your going to stock CASE. Although having said that I'm not 100% sure on how they implemented it and at least that's how it works in tanks.
That was my thought too as thats how it was always treated before but I noticed that some other high end pilots were doing this when they had gauss rifles in the arms with XL.
EDITS: cleaned that up a bit, did alot more research, looks like the ones I saw with case in the sides while also having XL were likely simply just leftovers when they were building it up from a standard engine model.
CASE on a NORMAL one is perfectly fine for keeping the arms from transfering damage through the L/R torso and into the ct, but dosnt really do anything for the side torsos from what I understand, still seems kinda silly cant install case into the arms themselves.
Further Edits: After SEVERAL suicides in the testing grounds I finally got the ammo in my test mechs arms to go off, as old and out dated as the wiki is its accurate still so case is still pointless in all CASEs with a XL engine. I am willing to wager that will get changed some day, but not right now.
Ogre II Used the build I was using last night, but simply drops the CASE for another heat sink, the ammo in the arms is heavily buffered so the odds of it getting critted is extremely low anyways.
