I SAID THE PROBLEM WITH "MOST" LIGHTS RIGHT NOW IS THEY CAN RUN INTO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING WITH NO CONSEQUENCE, THAT IS THE ISSUE!
yeah. and even "Good" pilots run into things. witness closed beta.
Light pilots are WAY to abusing lack of collisions right now by running INTO and THROUGH big mechs at WHIM.
This has to change - and i pilot light mechs a lot, but lack of collisions and knockdowns is definitely giving light pilots a HUGE edge and forgiving their sloppy piloting and turning it into an advantage for them that is imho unacceptable for a mech game.
we dont want dragon bowling again, but damage and knockdowns when colliding at high speeds with full on contacts do need to return.

Look Lights go down easily, always have done, if you are caught alone in an Atlas then that's an issue with YOU and your TEAM not the light pilot.

Hit detection is still extremely bad.
He fired back with 4 MLs and blew out your previously undamaged CT ?

Wow, that's one cool story bro !

If you are routinely getting killed by lights, then you need to step back and re-evaluate your strategy.

Sorry, i keep forgetting to write posts with the less intelligent in mind.
I am going to have to call BS on this. I have been legged in a Jenner many times and the only way I have ever gotten kills after that is when the target was almost dead. I might have believed you if you'd said your CT armor was gone and one GR shot didn't register, but I am not buying that six did not against a mech that is barely moving. I have experienced my fair share of shots not registering, but not against a legged light (except maybe a spider) that is barely moving.

I suppose i should apologize then. If it has never happened to you then i guess it must be impossible. Maybe i was dreaming or something...

Or maybe you are exaggerating to try to make your position look stronger. If you are truly experiencing this level of shots that fail to register, especially since the last patch, then you are undeniably in the minority. Issues with hit detection are well documented in a number of videos but the level of problems you are describing is way worse than anything there is documented proof for.
If it is truly that prolific then post a video of it and prove me wrong.
Edit: I will even help you. I will be glad to group up with you tonight and let you shoot the leg off my Jenner. Then you can pump GR rounds into me and we will see how long it takes to kill me and how many shots don't register. I have a VPN service so I can control my ping by re-routing my connection so we can test with me at multiple pings.

"mom! - the boy with the little tricycle is riding faster than me! " *the cryin is unstoppable*
"Son ! - grow a pair and paddle faster you lazy dog ...!" *the laughing is unstoppable*
Its just WAY to funny see assault pilots cryin on the forum ...
specially those that have no clue whatsoever what it means to pilot lights
Just makes my 50'ish light drop where i actually pull off a kill all worth it !!

I like to act less intelligent when I see someone trying to make me like one.
Only thing that Jenner has "out of order" is this: hits in rear torso transfer damage to front torso. And that's a minus, not a plus.
Everything else said about Jenner "superiority" or hitbox issues is just exaggeration or plain old BS.
Nothing personal.

So the more expensive the mech the more advantages and the easier it should be to play and pwn everything else? Uh huh... Pay-toWin

Lights are not inexpensive. The cost of the chassis is lower than some other mechs but the total cost to field one can be higher than a lot of heavier mechs since most light builds require an XL engine. The total cost of my Jenner F is over 10 million cbills and almost half of that is the XL 300. The engine actually costs quite a bit more than the chassis.
The solution to light packs is don't get caught alone. Stick with the team and focus fire. If the enemy's tactics are better than yours how do you expect to win?

Lights are the best chassis class for spreading damage - so their effective armor is higher. It's rare to see a 'phract with most armor gone, and yellow-to-red internals, because someone would have cored them already. But a light that lasts a whole game is going to look like a picasso on the readout.
Having said that, no other class is as susceptible to lucky shots or bad luck. All the best light pilots are insane - they have to be.
