Could have a bit more character and theme to make it actually immersive with the universe.

i think this is mechlab though. it just includes all the mechs you can buy. i'm sure there will be a filter to only show owned mechs.
i hope the game remembers my filter options. I'd hate to have to reclick the filter every time i want to mess with a mech i own

Ah...sorting options maybe? Not seeing them unless they're in filters but those would be nice. As would a uniform visual for all of the mechs. Right now (and here) they just look like random renders from random angles. Maybe something like the original Mechcommander or something but it just looks like the Centurion's image compared to say, the Jenner, is unintentional.
Also kind of miss the orange... like being able to see more mechs at a time though.

Their can be a strip all button but it had better have child safe locks on it. Some of us keep our full mechlab in ready to go condition.

Thus far it looks like they are sticking to what was shown in the concepts for this in terms of more intuitive UI for the Mech Lab.

Also, looks like there are list and thumbnail (shown) display options right under the filter options.
I'm really looking forward to the new UI. Getting pretty sick of UI 1.5.

The loading times are wayyyyy to slow for me to deal with that. If i went through to make every mech in ready to launch order, i would spend at least 3 hours with the little loading/saving thing on my client. I don't know why, but as soon as i hit 50 mechs my load-times tripled, if not quadrupled for any changes i make in the mechlab, or just loading into it at all.

I highly doubt this is all of UI 2.0.
Geez dude
It better not be.
In fact, for a UI to take this long it should shoot pyrotechnics in my face and stroke me off in addition to being utterly flawless.
But hey, PGI has always delivered, right?
