"3rd person is disabled in the 12 players pre-made group matches you lucky competitive Warriors."

Thanks for shoving our noses in it, guys. Seriously, is there a need for this kind of petulance?

They did that on purpose. There is nothing to "fix". Working as Intended™

Well, technically this patch gave AC2s a buff by "reducing" ghost heat. Congrats?

Uh, no, like they said Conquest would have capturable bases with turrets.

Spoiler

You're right PGI says alot of things, not so much on the follow through. But don't hold that against them. Game development is like the hardest thing ever.

Yeah, I guess they felt bad about the killing 2xAC2 setups. Those might be usable again.

Flamer

    • Range increased to 90m (up from 64m).
    • Heat impulse balance so target takes more heat than player (heat generated on target increased and self generation decreased).

I think we need a public explanation and apology as to how this problem came to pass in the first place.

Ok, so I just watched the credits. Everyone who said they didn't want their names associated with this game were listed under "Anonymous".

Guess how many people chose this option? ;)

35. The answer was 35 Legendary Founders (out of over 5000) decided they didn't want their name associated with the game.

That's how it works in TT. A flamer either does 3 damage or gives the target 2 heat while generating 3 heat when fired.

See, the irony of that comment is that you never needed a stock BJ-1X to figure out that you would die from overheating before generating the same amount to the target mech.

For your reference, the stock BJ-1X has 4 flamers IIRC.

If you've really launched why on earth is the beta label still on the website?

How I imagine all the upcoming game magazine and website/blog reviews will be now that the "Beta" shield is gone.

GOOD. This is how it should be. Keep the champs coming and lets stop throwing newbs into single heatsink deathtraps.

well the dragon and atlas with the way gauss is are still death traps unless you buy them and switch out weapons. just my opinion, but i do own both and had to re- work them when gauss was changed because they became death-traps !!

Couldn't be bothered to even log in after reading the patch notes. I am solo mining in EVE and thats more exciting than "Launch Day". Cant believe I even hoped for anything interesting to happen with this game today.

Spoiler alert: It wasn't always like this. Things used to be optimistic. People used to cheer all the time. PGI earned the community they now have, really.

I agree that they have not exactly gone around winning awards for excellent communication and have brought it upon themselves.

To a degree, for the most part for 2 reasons:

1. Some other much larger publishers have worse communication and comunity management, yet do not reap anywhere near this much hate. People simply leave and be done with it. Here, people "leave" and yet continue to light fires and spread misinformation as often as they can, for reasons I`d probably prefer not to know.

2. There was (IMO) a very noticable shift from "Yay PGI" to "PGI [REDACTED] my family and killed my unborn son" that pretty much happened at exactly the same time the game went open beta. All of a sudden, it was no longer "could you maybe?" with a "thanks" when it happened, but it instantly became "Hey ********, why isn`t this in already, game x has it, I want it, I can`t live without it " and "it`s about ******* time you lazy, incompetent slackers". I don`t think that necessarily increased their motivation to communicate more.....

Another question I have is why only Legendary Founders included - IMHO, ALL Founders should be included, Elites and Veterans too - as we all have bought into this game as a Founder and contributed to it in some way.

So please PGI, include ALL the Founders, not just the Legendaries.

It's no secret that PGI became more standoffish on Twitter (retweeting people saying to ignore all feedback, saying we're on an Island, etc) and that the developers stopped replying in threads or coming onto TeamSpeak at the same time.

People began to get frustrated as deadlines blew by, damaging new mechanics were introduced, balance was left to fall by the wayside, performance issues cropped up, and developers started to clam up instead of explaining things.

We used to laugh when LRMs broke because it was funny and we knew it'd be fixed within the week; these days if a weapon breaks we wouldn't be surprised to see a month go by without a solution and without any official feedback. Just look how badly the AC/2 ghost heat has been handled! From "It's not a problem, give us a ticket" to "Well maybe it's a problem if you use it wrong" to "Well it's working as intended" coupled with several non-starter "fixes" that do not address the problem at all. That's bound to cause frustration, what else did they expect?

Because it was stated when the packs were bought that only legendary level founders would get their names in the credits, it was one of the perks of the legendary pack.

Also, have you seen those credits O.O There's no room for everyone, holy {Scrap} I never realised there were so many ledgendaries!

Sad that the ones on that list I know haven't played in months. :)
