This game has surpassed any expectations I had for Free to Play. It has sold me on the model and convinced me F2P can actually work.

How the hell is this game free, I estimate somewhere between 15 million and 45 million in kickstarter/founder packages/hero mech sales based upon promises made which turned out to be lies....
Seems kinda expensive to me...

You got what you paid for. Founders mechs, name in credits, MC, premium time.
were we go again, same line you use in every thread.
I would not have put a dime into this game if they even hinted at having coolant flush and 3pv in this game.
In fact some friends asked me before they purchased their founders if there was going to be 3pv at all, and it there was they were not going to join.

So? You still got what you paid for. Next time don't put money down on a game in beta.
Go buy some ships in Star Citize...ohwait....

or is it that you dislike the game?
are you the forum police.. or a moderator.. no.. so **** off.. public forum I'll post here as long as I like..
you just want this thread to be full of hate for the devs.. like you did with with 3pv threads.. you figure if you abuse them enough they'll do what you want.. the world is becoming over crowded with ********* like you that think they're owed something.. you got your game.. be happy with it.. if you're not happy with the product they've released, take some of your own advice.. go elsewhere.. I enjoy the game and dont want to see it plagued with bugs from patches you lot want implemented...
good things come to those who wait... you just seem impatient.. a year is nothing.. wait 10 years for a sequel then come back to me...

I seem to recall Blizzard saying no shaman for alliance, no paladins for horde.
What's your point? Things change. Get used to it. It's not so bad.

They don't need me to be their white knight. The money they are rolling in will allow them to buy all the white knights they could possibly want. And probably send you a "We miss you" care package with some cheese to make you feel better.

take the rose color glasses off and make a real review. I did, so did all my guys. I gave it a 5 and listed all the reasons, im not like some of these guys who gave it a 0 because of whats going on or a 10 because PGI can do no wrong

This "Launch" is nothing more than the prelude to the wind down and eventual closure of this game,
why do i say this, beacuse when a game company can not spend 10 mins on the much anticipated launch of their game,
I hate to tell you, the company has already moved on, and is now making Farmville 7 , sonic the hedghog version 16 or whatever is likely to drag the rubes in for another Kick-starter scam.
This is how it's been looking to me too for a while now. I think it's being milked to fund something else. Also, if this game failed before launch I would imagine that would be pretty unattractive to future publishers. Now they have the bare minimum needed to walk away from it if needed. For all we know they could just be trying to finish out the terms of their contract with IGP.
Were I PGI, I'd kill the forums, as all they are doing is driving off potential profits. There is no good coming from giving groups like #SaveMWO any credibility -- the title itself is an insult and listening to them only hurts PGI's own credibility by implying they recognize the need to be saved.
Besides, what's here to save? They have a hateful community that goes out of its way to harm their company. This is why no one wants to touch this franchise. Everyone has an idea as to what they want out of it, and there is a MechWarrior Bible (TT) that can't be realistically applied to a system of so many interactive elements in a computer game. It is an endless cycle of trying to appease the rabid masses while trying to balance via subjective means. MW is a fickle beast, and I think you are probably damned if you do, damned if you don't. For small potatoes like PGI, that hurts.
That is not to mean that I am not disappointed. I do not like the complete plot-lacking shooter grind this has become (or, rather, has always been, with nothing to make me think anything different is forthcoming). I have gotten steadily more pissed over the almost total shift to quick money schemes rather than actual content development. This is not the MW MMO so gleefully touted to us as the golden carrot. I'm sick of the complete nonchalance toward the slighted Founders from PGI, and the weird whatever-it-is attitude we get from much of the non-Founder community (not all mind you, but a trending portion). I am one of those who is tempted when shiny new MC-only content rolls out, only to step back due to distrust of PGI's intent. I half expect that if I were to fork over money for Phoenix, for example, we'll find the servers shut off the week after it finally goes live. This whole experience is not what I expected. But I'm a MW fan, so here I am.
I guess we'll see what happens. I'd like them to succeed, but I think they are a small studio in over their heads with an overbearing publisher. I work with an ex-Piranha employee (pre-MWO)...it doesn't sound like it was a wonderful job and as I recall the environment was described as somewhat desperate. The MW IP was a jackpot for them, so I don't understand the direction of things now. Clearly by the rioting we see here, they don't have what it takes to manage this sort of effort, and I think they must have hit a wall with their ability to deliver anything beyond "shallow". I believe they've received the same criticisms from various zines about prior titles, hence the quotes.
So here's to hope. But watch your pockets.

good for you.. i rated it 8.. where do the rose coloured glasses come into it?? just because I rated it higher than you does that make me a white knight?? does it make my opinion any less valid.. no.. in your eyes it does because thats the best argument you can come up with.. regurgitating someone else pathetic insult.
you really think there are a bunch of people wasting their time creating multiple accounts to post 10/10 reviews to skew the meaningless results of metacritic..??
geez mate.. better whack a few more coat hangers on the roof and get another layer of tin foil for your hat....

Here's where you are wrong. I bought a founders pack for those items. I decided to pay for those items because I was promised no 3pv, no coolant flush, CW, and a metagame that included more of an endgame than collectamech collections in hangars. Give me one example of how any of those features have been delivered and do not say "soon". Most founders did not ****** money to obtain those items. Most founders invested money on the basis of promises made by this company to create at game they would enjoy. I can understand delays, glitches here and there, etc. I cannot abide by outright lying and getting told I am no longer a target demographic so my opinion and ideas on what this game should be are now going to be completely disregarded and ignored. This backlash isn't over one feature or one delayed deadline. It simply isn't that cut and dry. This backlash is over 2 years of being patient and understanding and now basically being given the finger by a company we invested money in. If this was what you wanted the game to be in the first place that's fine. I wouldn't have purchased a founders pack though and definitely would have placed it in the "play when I am bored category" for those that can't understand that this isn't something that wS sparked by a singular issue or instance I don't know how else to explain to you why some are upset.

1) Launch was uneventful and lame (lamest in the history of game launches)
2) Content is overpriced, including mechs
3) No comment from PGI - they know they had the lamest launch of all time
4) See #1
