I wouldn't have purchased a founders pack though and definitely would have placed it in the "play when I am bored category" for those that can't understand that this isn't something that wS sparked by a singular issue or instance I don't know how else to explain to you why some are upset.

Things change. That happens in every aspect of life. Get used to it.

No sane battletech fan would come in here as a new person and fight this much, If you were really such a fan as you say you are and that you love the current state of the game you would be playing the game not fighting the never ending battle in the forums.

As for all of the 10 ratings? Do you REALLY feel this is one of the most solid and greatest games ever made? You do realize ten implies absolute perfection in every aspect of the game right? And this is exactly the type of attitude that has caused poor reviews. Things change then my opinion changes. Want a good review? Give me what I was promised. Don't care about my poor review? Founder Packages are not kickstarter pledge rewards. The monies received were not 'donations', they were 'purchases'. To say that it was a kickstarter is a gross conceptual error of what a kickstarter is. This game was already funded. Founder's packages are not Funder's packages. MWO was going to happen without the money received from the Founders Program (although it might have had even fewer features at this point).

Nobody needed to purchase anything to play this game. Some people may have purchased a Founders Package to get into the Closed Beta, but that's hardly required and you could have just waited to get into Open Beta. You'd be a fool to make purchases based on hopes, promises, ideas and dreams alone. I bought a Founder's Package not because of any starry-eyed hope that the game might become the ideal image I have in my head, but because I wanted the items. I started with an Elite package because I wanted the Catapult the most, and then upgraded to Legendary when I could afford it because I wanted the other 'mechs and items as well. I'd say I've gotten more value than what I spent on them in return.

Even with Star Citizen, a game that got its start through an actual Kickstarter, I didn't chip in until they were offering the Hangar Module, something tangible I could play with.

Make something I want, and I will buy it. I can't buy dreams and ideas. And those things aren't what PGI is selling in MWO. Making new versions of the Unseen? That's something I want. I will buy that. Making Clan OmniMechs? That's not something I want. I won't buy that. Pirahna's long term concepts for MWO? Not something I can purchase, and not something they are selling. You can only buy items. You don't need any purchased items to take part in the game. The game itself is not something you can buy as a customer.

Coolant flush, 3PV... strange things to flip out over, to be honest. Gameplay is still fantastic, if you can live with those things. And if not... see you in 10 years when the next Battletech game is made.
