At best this just says that /r/MWO has managed to go from 0.5% of MWO's claimed registered users to juuuuuuust over 3%. It's not exactly growth, so much as the flamewars spilling over I think.
Note, however, that reddit is providing unique pageviews, and not accounts registered.

Are you even looking at the chart? Do you understand why many charts have 2 different Y axis labels like that? You didn't look at the raw numbers 5 or 6 posts up?
Is this really happening?
This is the worst case of confirmation bias I have ever seen!

At least he isn't using reddit stats to confirm the health of a game. Talk about bias, I thought military officers were supposed to be intelligent...

Confirm? I just stated it was one more data point among many.
Better than "I feel like it's failing".

So instead of saying "feels like it's failing" you went with "hey guys look at my stupid graph from a website that has nothing to do with this game and it's health, these numbers show it's growing!"

What do the stats on the SA forums show for MWO?

Well, at least that's more than you show why the numbers of players might falling drastically. Where are your graphs? Where's your evidence? All I see are words. Yadda yadda yadda the whole day!

Ok, then what about the raw data itself?
Someone help me out. Is his argument a red herring or a straw man? "Ignore the data, discuss Excel charts."

Nope.
You DO NOT reuse the same graph to have two different scales, but even so, you have to IDENTIFY/SHOW which scale uses what.
It's not my fault that you can't even do a proper graph in Excel.

I can make an arbitrary graph if you want me to, but metacritic seems to be a hot bed of bad reviews. The MWO forums, reddit, all the articles that have nothing good to say. That's my proof that the game is unsuccessful. If the game/devs didn't have their issues do you think all of those things would be they way they are today?

The sad thing is I'm not even trying to be biased about a graph... just show the borked graph at work or to others. It's hard to NOT laugh @ the disaster of the graph that it happens to be (I could care less what it represents).

Do I think Heffays graph is accurate, not really but I cant find anything better to go off of so really there is no point in arguing if I cannot produce a counter point.
