just think a bit further, maybe this counts for every thread? and maybe some post stand for 100 of players so they dont repeat?ptherwise there would be more! maybe some players have to answer questions? maybe they want to change something and there is only this option?

please think further

In most cases everyone has the option to edit their posts, so there should be no limiting factor there. The back and forth part I will give you but in the end this is a thread about a welcome to launch that shouldn't even require a back and forth (and yet here I am participating). :)

Regardless, I was more posting my point to illustrate that the number of pages in a particular thread is not always a good measure of discourse or progress.

Aff, trothkin. 100 pages choking our datafeeds with this insolent filth. Let these Dezgra chat-warriors stew in hatred and self-righteousness. I'll be on the field, guns at the ready, awaiting my equal.

Good luck with that, we'll be in our broken spiders

@Pihoqahiak: I didn't say anything else. There are several deficits the devs have to work on urgently, especially now after launch! Sorry, if this point wasn't described clearly enough in my previous post(s). Besides that, the game is much fun, when you give it a chance, show some patience and try to handle it. I also came as a newbie to this game, just played MW4V years ago, and I'm far away from being an expert! But I enjoy learning more about it's mechanic every day and perfecting my gameplay. Probably some gamers out there just don't fit into the game and that's ok. Though they should come and play unbiased and that's kinda hard when you first heard of it on metacritic f.e.

@MonkeyCheese: *sigh*
Are you even trying to understand my whole position? Your best skill seems to be picking up the single sentences that are ******* you off the most, while ignoring the core statement (or just being unable to understand? I don't know, just a question).
I'm tired of justifying myself, because of a bigoted person on the internet I don't even know. I was forthcoming (again), and if you just do not want to react to my whole words, then PLS ignore me!

@N0MAD: Forget it!

Two questions if you will.
1. Who let the test tubers in our forums?
2. Do clanners have navels?
Just curious.

Indeed, the number of pages should never be the point, but rather the issues being discussed. Unfortunately, there are plenty of people to whom it is some kind of achievement if they are 'first in', or 'posted 100 pages'. Posting just to reach one of these 'goals' is just floating air.

On the other hand, one cannot simply shove aside such players and still have the Forums be representative of the players in the game, so we must accept that these, too, deserve a place at the table as long as they play the game. Ultimately, the Forums are the primary means of player communication and information in any game, and especially in a game like MWO that doesn't even have an in-game Player's Manual.

A discussion will go for as many pages as the discussion lasts, so how important is it, really, what page it is on?

I wish I could. My setup and MC don't play well together. One crash after another.

I'm sure the data is correct. For users and page hits about /r/mwo.
Please explain how does that relate to the player base of MWO itself. Are these users all new also to the game? If so, how do you know that.
If not all of them are not new users to the game, what percentage is, if any? What percentage of /r/mwo users are already existing users of MWO? Is there a chance that some of the users are already users here but looking for a place where information about the game is more accessible and in one place instead of having to shuffle through different pod casts, 3rd party sites like NGNG and the mwomercs forums?
How is this data of yours relevant to the game? Please help me understand this data point better.

When I first read this, honestly thought "Do you really expect Heffay to answer you this?"...
A few pages after, you reminded him and nothing.
Still.. have I missed something or does that graph thing was all about flashing numbers and yelling "I believe in you" with arms raised to the heavens?

Those of you having issues with MC send me a PM to remind me and I'll see if I can dig up the info I used to get it running for my system. I've got a windows 7 laptop I run it on and there were a few things I had to do in order to get it to work that might help you out

The graph was about user increase in reddits mwo page. Apparently it has something to do with the player base of MWO itself. I'm sure he will fill me in how it is relevant eventually. Maybe I need to remind him again.
Like the question I had about 1.3 million users registered to MWO and what amount of these accounts is relevant since you can't remove your account and it includes all those who don't play anymore, people who have multiple accounts and so on.

I have faith, I'm sure he will answer me eventually.

An easy way to run Mechcommander on windows 7 is simply install VMware and use windows 98, you all have modern PCs that should be able to handle emulating a Pentium 2 machine. I've played it in this fashion and it works great.

A lot of people had faith MWO was going to be incredible after all the awesome progress and fun times we had last year. A lot of people had faith UI 2.0 and Community Warfare would be a surprise launch announcement.
