If you've patched the game "over 29 times" just say 30 times.

Wow. I started plaing MWO exactly three days ago. If I had known about it I would have started playing at the start of beta.
Frankly I'm surprised at the reaction of many on this thread. Good games take time, lot's of time to develop correctly. How long did it take for GTA5? Yea. Be happy you were in on the beta, in three years, when all the noobs are asking where you got the cool founder goodies and Pheonix and Saber mechs, you can tell stories about how you helped develop a game.
Me, I've been playing Mechwarrior since it came out on floppies for the IBM PC, so my wait has been much longer than yours.
See you in game.....in my Sabers.

Thanks for all your hard work and of course for the initial effort to create the next iteration of Battletech/MW on the PC. I hope we can keep improving.

That said, you have to admit, it is a pretty quiet and uneventful launch. I have to wonder why you selected this moment for it.

If nothing else at least people can try the game for free instead of shelling out $60 up front for a game that could be lame as he!!. I'm sure enough people will stay onboard to keep the game afloat.

LOL serious LOL

cannon mechs are officially DEAD! because PGI REFUSED to balance SHS and DHS in accordance with pointless engine bonuses

ALL TRIALS ARE DHS CHAMPIONS! they really think they can ease newbie pain by giving them champions and cadet bonuses but refuse to invest in a decent tutorial and MM. so well done community for throwing your best builds at champion designs you just helpped pgi cover their mistakes for newbie impressions.

launch reigns in and mechwarrior as an influence from battle tech is dead. long live battle tech.

Cool video, not super representative of the current game though. Like that shot of way more then 12 Mechs pouring our of the volcano on Caustic Valley shooting an some unknown force. :)

Was nice seeing the glowing eyed Atlas again, but it isn't in the game anymore.

calling this a launch is like calling a piece of dog poo a candy bar, although, at least some one is willing to pick up dog poo after it passes through the **** of a canine.

i'll be uninstalling mechwarrior today. i haven't played in a month and i'm still laughing at seismic.

Can someone AC20 this player in the back for using Comic Sans? It gives me 1996 internet flashbacks.

Congrats to all who worked on MWO to get it this far! Truly Epic achievements over the past 2 years guys! (FYI forum trolls, there is NO sarcasm here - I'm serious!)

Now - please look around at other MMOs and the in-game launch events they've had. Notice the normal presence of a tangible, usable, mattering-somehow-in-the-game item that is normally given out to players who play during the launch and especially to those who've beta tested for you. See that? No, not the free cockpit spinner that only the mech driver can see... something better... like maybe a mech. Or, if you don't want to go that crazy, a free launch exclusive camo pattern. Or a free camo pattern of our choice out of the ones on sale now. Wheels turning yet? Good. Now, please surprise us all with an awesome event this weekend beyond the currently-announced-yet-oh-so-anemic camo sale!

Thanks - and congrats again on making such a great game!

MWO Launch Event for Dummies:

MWO, skipping into the room - "Hey! Today's my Birthday! Ready to go!!"

PGI, looks over from the lazyboy - "Oh, that's nice." - Goes back to reading the newspaper.

MWO, looking confused - "But, aren't I the sparkle in your eye? Aren't we going to have a party? Presents? Anything?"

PGI, speaking from behind the newspaper, puffing cigar smoke - "I told you you weren't getting anything."

MWO, starting to cry - "But..but...I thought....you'd surprise me...."

PGI, shrugging from behind newspaper - "I got a few guys coming over for beer next Saturday. Maybe we'll do something then."
