if you loved the game you wouldnt be whining on the forums about how bad the launch is and blah blah blah...

Um what?

1. If we hated the game and it was going downhill we would simply leave like all the silent people.

2. If we loved the game and it was going downhill then of course we would kick and scream and fight because we love the game so much

To quote myself from a little while back

Ignoring maps, mechs and the mechlab the raw gameplay its self is 100% the way I remember it the day I logged in for the very first time somewhere around a 1yearish ago (sometime after the raven came but before the cicada and phract were released)

Conquest is only really assault with more bases to stand on.

Closed beta came and went, hero mechs came out, new maps, new mechs, paints, cammo, new cockpit items, modules, consumables.... The only real new things I can think of gameplay wise that got added were ECM...(no comment there) the seismic sensor (wallhack2.0), the mech slopes thing, and the continual beating of the dead horse on the jumpjet mechanic.

Otherwise its stand in a box or last man standing, there are so many many other game modes out there that other MOBA aka multiplayer online battle arena games use (face it without CW thats all it is) or even a new game mode could be invented but nope have new shinys to buy with MC while you play the same game mode...

Other than 3pv which seems to be 50/50 on popularity, the game is the same as it was during closed beta.

Sure to newcomers this would seem like an amazing game, and yes the core gameplay is I will admit that, but to us closed beta testers and founders the game is stagnant and frozen in development. With just the amazing original dev blogs to dream about

I think players/paying customers have a right to be disgruntled.

And the front page still says, "

How does gameplay work?

MechWarrior Online puts MechWarriors into team-based and tactical battlefield where the victors swim in the spoils of war and are rewarded with the almighty C-Bill (in-game currency).
Each team has 8 players and the two teams are pitted in combat in an enclosed battlefield. Communication is key, be it in-game chat, integrated C3, or a third party VOIP solution, keeping in constant communication with your teammates will drastically increase your team’s chances of success.
The various weight classes of BattleMechs help create their own evolving roles on the battlefield. Fast moving scouts can feed target and tactical information back to the main battle group and the team commander. This information allows the support and assault role pilots to decide where to put their resources to work. Long-range fire support and heavy hitting assault class Mechs will use this invaluable information to finish the job at hand. It is up to you, the pilot, to customize your BattleMech’s loadout and electronic systems to fulfill the role you want to take."

Now I remember why I don't come to these message boards. The negativity is horrid.

The troll nature of that post aside cus clearly its fake

In all honesty to anyone at PGI reading, I would GLADLY throw money at even half of that mythical game.

Don't worry. The only reason half the posts are disappointed people is because enough have left completely that there aren't enough left for 75% of the posts to be disappointed people. :)

Not true... I'm less than 3 weeks in and the negativity on the forums are getting to me. The grind is way to much grinding to catch up, I got a taste of my favorite weapon getting nerfed (gauss), making my builds useless, etc...

I'm astounded that the clan I joined can't reliably drop into clan matches etc. without interfering with other clans trying to simdrop for a match due to lack of private games. And if we have 7 or 9 players on we can't even play together?

I've never played a game before this limited after "release". They should have delayed launch until after UI 2.0 with the custom matchmaking at least (because that will in turn kick off good community potential...).

I wonder if they have a turnover or engineering talent problem?

Edit: I should add that this being the launch raises a big red flag for spending more money... I'm waiting for UI 2.0.

Well thats a pitty to hear after only 3 weeks, but venturing onto the forums is up to the player to decide to do so. Back in the day after getting accepted into the closed beta I think it took me less than 2 weeks before I decided I was in love and wanted to support the game becoming a founder.

But content has been thin and balance swings have been drastic.

Pathetic launch.

I for one won't spend one more penny until CW and a proper matchmaking lobby come out

Just came back to say congratulations on the launch.

Me and my mates will be back after the game has better balance stability. At the moment, its just lurking and checking out your so called 'balance' patches, This company seems to more or less completely ignore genuine community feedback and chooses to listen to the trolls instead. Its like they hardly play the game using random matches in the first place.

What I see lately are just more and more attempts to milk money from the community. We had a good laugh at the recent Project packages and its fixed mech selections. Even the hardcore among us is not buying it, he rather spend his money on the tabletop minis.

TL:DR - not convinced, game seems to be worse.

To those who continue to support them, stay frosty mechwarriors, and good hunting!

Launch is Working as Intended™.

Anyone who disputes that is on an island.

I like the false advertising in the video, when did we get 50v50 gameplay?

Bear in mind, many of us are here because we are loyal to the BT franchise otherwise we wouldn't care about this game at all.

This is precisely why I originally came here. I have since come to the conclusion that MWLL was a superior game in virtually every way, especially considering the features that were due to be released soon...that is, until PGI shut it down because they were afraid of competition from a free mod that was more professionally made than their own commercial product. This both speaks well of MWLL's dev team, and very poorly of IGP/PGI.

Oh well...once MWO dies, MWLL can resume, and we will end up with a better game, with more content and fewer bugs.

Where can i find this game Russ Bullock is talking about? It sounds awesome! It can not be MWO, because we have no directx11 graphic, no music, no CW, no UI 2.0...

They're all just "noise" that will calm down eventually. Honestly, calling honest feedback "noise" that's "on an island" is probably a big part of why the negativity has grown so rampant.

This is entirely false and the people that continue to perpetuate it on these forums need to get their facts straight.

The MW:LL team stopped of their own free will without any contact from PGI or IGP.

Now mind you, that is not to say that they would not have been stopped eventually, but it factually did not happen even remotely the way you portray it.
