1) They're a business.
2) It's not their responsibility to care about me, it's their responsibility to build the best game they can, to survive as a company and, hopefully, to do far better, to make a lot of money and, hopefully, to perpetuate that business by putting out new content based on the drive of the community and the approval of their primary benefactors, who are FASA Corporation, who no longer exist as a real entity, except to administer their Intellectual Properties. Their secondary benefactors are those who put into the game the money, which means they approve of what's being done, or approve of the plan. Unfortunately, plans change, they are extended, they are morphed into something new and, hopefully, something better. Those who do not approve of the direction this game is going have EVERY single right to leave it, or they can realize the way this game is being made is not their vision, and they can drive onward supporting the game. It makes no sense to complain about how things are going.
3) The community is responsible for itself. PGI is not responsible for us, for our happiness, because they will find people who will readily support the game for what it is, and you have witnessed this yourself, in this very thread. This is one of the reasons I started the Commander's League initiative yesterday. I am also not responsible for or to PGI or IGP; I owe them absolutely nothing, I do not work for or with them, though I would love to have some manner of positive effect on the development of this game.
So, first off, you tell me... what good is your ugliness and vitriol doing? Are you having a positive or negative effect on the viewpoint of the developers? Are you having a positive or negative effect on the community?
Second, these things you, and those who act the same way, think the same way, and speak their mind with ugliness and vitriol, are doing, will they allow this game to live, to be peopled by a good community, to advance this game in a direction that we would actually like to see it go? Or, are you and your ilk -I was one of you until about five days ago- going to allow this game to fall further and further away because of your arrogance in believing the louder you scream and yell, the more the developers will actually listen to you?
So, you tell me, who is the horse's ***, now?
