No, I haven't nor will I ever forget that they've lied to us on more than one occasion, and they themselves have stated they need to work on being more open with the community, or at the very least be more particular in their wording. I was a closed beta tester for six months or so and I recall much more about the original direction of this game than many of you ranting and raving on these forums. However, to the point of ranting and raving - it gets you nowhere and the developer's won't listen to garbage. Constructive criticism, new ideas and even old ideas will be read and listened to, but the forums nowadays are so full of sheer discontent and slander that I am simply sick of it. If that's ignorance, then the kettle is calling the pot black.

Oh yeah? Where's the proof that they actually listened to serious feedback and acted on it (outside of closed beta)?

This game was released way to early and pgi knows it, I bet igp made them release it, its barely 1/2 a game and most people will not even give it a second chance, thanks pgi/igp for blowing it for us , since u releaed this mess, and u wont make money you will let the game die...we will have to wait another 10 years for a mw game .....

Well in the end, PGI did choose to release it in and unfinished state and ruined their reputation in process.

Some of the most uber ridiculous issues that still exists is that you can't change your email address.
At least it is good to know that even if you account is hacked. The hackers would NOT be able to change your password since that is tied to the unchangeable email address.

PGI have stated that they will be following the timeline 1:1 and the clans only start their invasion in 3049 (from the periphery). My calendar says it is 2013, so they still have loads of time... just give PGI a little bit more to add the clans and CW... and UI2.0... and loads of new maps.... but untill that is done, have some more MC sales, Hero Mechs and Champion Mechs.

Which translates to 3050 :P

I hate to be so negative, but i think this series may be doomed. No publishers wanted to finance a single player MechWarrior game for fear of piracy, and the other alternative are the consoles, which are even worse for MW. Our only hopes are in MWO and MW:LL , i fear they will be the last MW games. Will anyone dare base a new game on a 50 years old tabletop game? :D

My question is was it understood that 3049= 2012 or end of closed beta =3049.

They will likely restart the timeline to 3049.

resetting the time line in my opinion is a good start with settling the waves of distrust and frustration. it would be like starting with a fresh chalk board. no game is perfect I would favor a campaign mode with 3-5 objectives that have to be taken almost like in rush mode of some fps games

I really don't care if this game never gets clan tech. Right now it's fun to play even pugs, ever one is on the same tech level the edge comes from the player skill not supper cool gear like 6 clan streak cat or a mech rocking 4 or even 6 clan ultra ac5's or 3 ultra ac20's. We have a good thing that's fun why mess it up with the clan tech crutch.

neither surprising nor really new... i wouldn´t have expected the clans until next fall tbh... clan invasion without a polished community warfare would be kind of senseless, so everyone who follows the forums should be aware of the fact, that PGI won´t roll out the clans before CW is FINISHED....that´s btw exactly what PGI stated early this year... anything else would deeply disappoint me

No complaints on the Clans being delayed yet again (thank the Wardens). PGI has to release CW, do another pass or two on the existing 'Mechs (see hitboxes), continue to balance existing weapons, release new weapons, and release a couple of IS 'Mechs (not including the PP 'Mechs) before I even care to see Clan 'Mechs. Sufficient to say, rushing Clan 'Mechs out would be a fatal blow to this game.

Hmm. We actually convinced PGI to forestall the invasion (a PPC aimed to the face is pretty persuasive B) ) but those stravags Spheroids feared us so much that they violated their part of the bargain and will not give us our Omni-mechs any time soon! :rolleyes:

Nothing wrong with discussing clans and how clan tech will affect the game but people should be aware that the clans are very very distant and speculative. I predict that it will be the last major leg of CW after mercs, loners, and loyalists so Im thinking 2 to 3 years from now. By then we will have a lot more content (maps, weps, new mechs, etc) and many many bug passes. MWO is no where close on the pyramid to being ready for the challenge of adding the Clans.

Agreed, but if the past is any indication, that doesn't mean they will not jump right in and throw the Clans in to generate interest and short-term money. That it might be a disaster for the game in the state it is and in the manner in which they do the introduction in would be a fact only considered after the mistake was made and the initial surge of money pocketed.

Assuming they actually do stick to putting off introduction of the Clans until CW is running clean, it will be a long time, indeed. Aspects of CW haven't even reached the point where they are being discussed yet, let alone planned and worked on. That seems to push any introduction of the Clans well past mid-2014 and possibly into 2015. The question will be if the Devs are willing to wait so long before attempting to tap the monetary potential they no doubt see in giving Clan players their wishes.

the clans will come into being! Many of us have waited way too long for any MechWarrior game to come out. Personally haven't played since MW4 and was rather disappointed with that one. GBL, mw2 mercs and MechWarrior 3 in that order cause mw2 is in a class of its own. I am thankful that I was part of the testing portion that way maybe we the little people get some say in what we want.
