In this timeline they should be, even though they each have a ruler and a capital for the half of the realm, their individual military's became merged as the Armed Forces of the Federated Commonwealth post-4th Succession War.

Are energy boat Atlases a thing, though? If I wanted to boat LLs over 4, I'd rather do it on a Stalker because of better hardpoints and more room for DHS.

I had a lot of fun with a 6 MPL Atlas in CB. It literally melted everything.....quickly. The lasers in the arm make it preferable, for me, over the Stalker.

Can't argue with that. :P

But if I still had my RS, it would be weeping.

Just a couple of things:
1-The hornet that you buy now is exactly the same as the one you can buy in game, as are all the things in Star Citizen.
2-Posters are $1, not $5.

they may be today but they werent the other day. Space ships still currently outprice all mechs 3 fold with exception of a slight few.Yep and we'll never see a hero space craft either....

The low arms are still inferior to a Stalker... but on level ground, the hero Atlas wouldn't be hindered.

I'm projecting that they will still be stripped the same way like all Atlai... through the side torsos. It would be counterproductive to just aim at the arms.

Thing is, Atlas will get more money to them, hero light won't. Simple mathematics actually. So sad...

I think it's safe to say that Star Citizen has enough earned "trust" credits in community to ask those prices and to sell by those prices.
PGI spent almost all their "trust" credits months ago...

Posting fom work but it seemsit comes with 6x energy (3 per arm) and a leas 1x ballistic and missile launcher.

Any toughts?

Sound op to me . I know my RS with 4 large and Gause has about 5-10 tons to spare depedning on engine . Extra 2 medium lasers or 1 large is pretty good . Definetly interested.

Still see a ballistic in the side torso...
Yeah there are 3 energy slots in each arm, but a ballistic slot in the arm would have been what would have made me buy the Boar's Head. As it stands now, i'm not going to buy it knowing the loadout limitations, the amount of slots, and so forth, other than running 3 medium lasers I just don't see much of an advantage, also this would be great if ER-Medium lasers were here, but they're not, so it's a pass until then.

The hardpoint system could have been done better to make this a holy terror without increasing it past 6 energy points.
But I only know this from running a couple of Atlases for months, knowing exactly where their weaknesses are at.

It's a +10 damage at 270 meter improvement Atlas.

Yeah, the Misery can do 5 LLs and an AC/20, although I imagine it would be a little hot.

We should all know by now that people will try and cram as many PPCs as possible on it.

Indeed, I've been waiting for a hero Raven for ages - kinda expect the full package from it ECM and all and let P2W crybabies be damned - Ravens are like the most iconic ECM carriers in BT.

That's not to say I won't be getting the Atlas though - it's the first chasis I mastered, my founder mech is an Atlas, etc... might just hold back a bit for some sort of sale however.

Some may try, but it won't be viable due to ghost heat. The PPC boogeyman is dead. People need to move on and find something else to whine about.

You can only fit 4, due to all the arm actuators. It can't fit any more than the RS.

But, I can imagine the 6 LL builds resurfacing for a bit...

Although, I don't think anyone runs 5-6 LL builds nowadays... 4 ERL is the new thing.

Should be fine. As long as you're with a team that can operate cohesively it'll just be another Atlas to deal with.

Not to mention if they implement drop weights you'll only ever see one, maybe two.

I'm thinking this is Danielle's Mech!

Quote

AS7-D Atlas Danielle - Piloted by Wolf's Dragoons Captain Danielle Rondema, this modified Atlas carried three medium lasers in each arm, trading away the SRM rack to do so. The additional heat was dissipated by two additional heat sinks that replaced the rear-firing medium lasers. BV (2.0) = 1,976[32]

I've been asking for this Variant since last year, I'm glad it might be finally out! ;)

One ballistic, one missile in each torso. Atlases don't gain much from six energy hardpoints, but would gain a lot from having a ballistic slot in each torso.

That's why this hero mech is nothing special, given the energy boating penalties. Sure, six large laser atlases with max DHS will splash some big numbers on damage that's spread all over the enemy teams.
