And many of you argue that only players with good ELO are always reasonable. Well, be social and learn to listen to others, your opinion is not the only one. It's hilarious to see advice from people that play well keep bragging on forums that they are the best (saw that multiple times in multiple MMOs). Most of the people who love open score systems actually are ones who are too self-centered, have psychological problems or just have to be internet warriors.
And if someone with low ELO is acting like a jerk, well... He will act like that regardless of visibility of ELO. Use your social skills to put him in place or just ignore him. Internet is full of jerks, nothing could fix that.

Still makes sense doesn't it? The point here is visible Elo helps no one. Why give people the opportunity to make judgement based on Elo, who does it help?

Maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I think if you give people rope, they'll hang themselves with it. Why not just judge suggestions based on their validity, and not of the Elo of the person who posted it?

As for the jab at low Elo players, thanks for giving a prime example of the dismissive attitudes some people have against low Elo players. A completely unfounded, and somewhat ignorant stab, at a whole group of people who you've never met, probably never will, but lo and behold you mocked them anyway. Precisely why visible Elo is damaging to the community.

Your quote is somehow wrong and turned the whole sentence upside down.

As I mentioned before, high ELO players play better, and their opinion obviously has weight of their success.

And as I said before, people can have unpleasant behavior regardless of their ELO at all.

So who will be at disadvantage?
- Internet warriors;
- Emos with overgrown egos.

Who will get an advantage?
- Noobs, they will get a beacon of how the success looks like so they will be able to copy successful players and improve their own results;
- Experienced people, they will get an opportunity to compare their tactics with the tactics of their opponent and as a result they will think their way to play better;
- Gurus, they will get a chance to argue with devs about how bad or good the game is and what are the ways to improve it for everyone.

My whole post was about people behavior having no direct correlation with their ELO. I know some terrible players with whom I like to play and some skillful players whom I will NEVER play with if it's your concern. How did I mock any player regarding their ELO?
