If you're delaying going to work for a video game, perhaps you shouldn't be blaming PGI for how you set your priorities? That seems exceedingly silly to me.

If I think about a few other MMOs and THEIR normal downtimes.....the downtimes here even the extended ones are small peanuts so stop the crying there

Are you posting from an Island?
(If you aren't familiar with that, it's a take on one of the Devs more infamous comments about some players)

AWESOME!
I use JJs for the agility and movement boost, so this will probly help with that alot, or it sounds like it should. Never did much poptarting with directfire weapons atleast, ill do it with my catapults so my LRMs can clear obstacles or to get a lock, but never PPC+gauss type poptarting. JJs make it very difficult for lights to circle strafe me without getting hit, i wonder how the forward movement will affect this aspect of jumpjet use. I bet this will help with JJ mechs getting stuck in the map.
I do hope the shake deters sniper builds poptarting. But i rarely see alot of this, and when i do, getting around the obstacle they are poptarting from isnt usually too difficult.
All in all, sounds good. Lots of new gameplay if this and the siesmic change get in together.
Now they need to revamp/remove ghost heat.

Yeah, after someone mentioned that they posted an update on twitter.
I work in marketing, so I feel a bit obligated to have a twitter account just to research things in my industry. I have zero tweets so far, as I'm not the principle pr guy. I have it set for zero notifications, because the vast majority of PGI tweets are the equivalent of spam, much like their facebook posts telling me to go check out the latest NGNG uninformative softball question hugging session with the devs.
As a marketing professional, it's pretty much a customer outreach fail if you're relying on an incredibly small portion of your playerbase to relay important information that you only communicate to platforms that aren't used by your principal audience. The games been in open beta for a year, and 25+ year olds who didn't use twitter a year ago still aren't using it for the most part. Yet their communications team still insists on using it for important notifications.
It's called bad customer relations..........which incidentally is one of the principle complaints that founders and other dedicated money-spenders have voiced.
Don't listen to me though. I'm just a marketing professional responsible for communicating content and features to over 1 million registered users of my company's services.

Heh. Well, so what? I dont really have a problem with a dev telling a player off - if deserved. It beats BB's way of handling things, which is stonewalling and lying about updates. That from a game that you _bought_. My basic Point here is that it seems like quite a few people seem to WANT to take offense at Everything the devs do. Which amounts to nothing but alot of whining - if there's a genuine gripe, then critizise away, but throwing a tantrum because a scheduled update is running an hour longer than expected is just silly. And they DID warn us that it'd take longer than usual.

Good for you, Mr Snowflake.
Here's a bit of knowledge for you, though... not everyone plays exactly like you do. There are other ways to use JJ's than how you do, or how you "think" others do.
If they haven't put this in correctly, it's going to screw with JJ lights... again. They seem to not have anyone testing who actually knows how to play a JJ-light, as they repeatedly pull things like this.
