MechWarrior Online’s upcoming Community Warfare expansion detailed

Link to full article

Snippet that caught my eye:

"----Community Warfare will be delivered in three phases over the next six months, Ekman said. For more on MWO’s upcoming Community Warfare expansion, check out the full video here. The video also features some footage of MWO’s upcoming revamp of its interface system, UI 2.0, which is set to be released in the next four weeks, according to Ekman."

Incidently I'd like to point out, why am I shedding light on this to forum user's and there's no official announcement on the forum here about it, specifically that video link to NGNG's Twitch?

So far the only promise PGI has delivered on is the Founders package so I give them credit for that; But the sad thing is they could have put us in the credits the week after they stopped doing founder's refunds.

Promise after promise, PGI will never learn or listen. In the end they will add it too late for the people to actually care.

I just wonder...where do you see a promise? I see a line about their plan to deliver community warfare over the next 6 months in three phases. I don't see promises. Plan are plans, not promises on what will be delivered. I fully expect that in 6 months, we will have parts of CW, and maybe even 3 phases, but for sure things will get left off and deferred and etc. And this is not me defending PGI, its me understanding the software industry as a whole, especially if their SDLC is Agile/Sprint based as they say they work. That's the whole purpose. Be flexible but still be able to deliver something that works and can be improved on.

One day when we do have full CW, they are going to have to find something new to whine about. Let's see how creative they can be at manufacturing issues to have faux rage about!

Well I know where your coming from :D

But I really wanted to know where he saw a promise? I wanted to know if I missed something? I read the article a few times, read the Recent Command chair posts and watched the YouTube from the event, and never saw promises.

Now if its just Rage for Rage sake I want to know so I can stop wasting my time :)

We can QQ about how certain forum members say meant things about us from their high horse of "don't stop, believing" while they ponder on how to troll people who criticize their heroes. See what I did there? lol

IF we get it, it SOUNDS like it will be exactly what the game needs

I spent another 1.4K on Star Citizen about 2 weeks ago. I'm done caring about MWO. In fact, this will be my final post but I'll still play the game every so often.

That's a rather daring gamble considering you have no real gameplay for it yet. I hope it does work out for you, but you can only go on the word of the Star Citizen devs, and the scale of the game seems rather ambitious, will be surprised if they deliver everything they plan.

The devs could make a magical hat that gives you anything you want in game and the playerbase would complain about the color of the hat.

Just saying.

"Ekman pointed out that the penalty system is not fully designed yet and he didn't elaborate on what those penalties might be."

Because that system only exists on a dry erase board in a faded bubble on a mind map drawn in 2011?

Did everyone read the Command Chair article posted a few days ago here?

http://mwomercs.com/...re-association/

It's nice to see how so many people like to come to the forums and just complain about things. PC Gamer publishes an article and the immediate response is a bunch of complaining. I honestly think that people don't believe in the existence of things they cannot see with their own eyes.

They haven't released UI 2.0 yet? That means they haven't been working on it, obviously.
No CW yet? Oh, that's because CW is a lie, and only meant to tease people into continuing to play the game.
Bacteria are too small to see with the naked eye? Well, certainly you're getting sick from an infection of evil spirits, because if you can't see bacteria then they obviously don't exist.
