Thank you! I'll get it then. Nope, don't have any of the mechs, which is of course very good.
What would happen if I had one or more already? Do I just get a 2nd one, or do I get compensated with its MC value instead?

I tried using the search function, but it does not work well. How do I get the hearing impaired title? I have a hard time understanding the in-game voice chat due to losing some of my hearing from an ear infection some months back. With all the other sounds, it just comes out a garbled mess with some words being recognisable.

Solaris 7 mech pack also give you 30 days Premium Time!

I believe they're part of the "autocannon" family, which means TCs do affect their projectile velocity and critical hits.
(but I might be wrong, the best would be to check in the game files but I don't know how to do that)

Hey! This thread is back! It... disappeared for a while and I couldn't locate it despite it being a watched threat with notifications. Did anyone else have that issue with a few threads?

In another thread, a mod confirmed it was hidden for moderation cleanup. Don't know what happened though.

Derpy new player question here, but why does my mech have less than max armor? My CRB-27 stays stuck at 331/338 no matter what I tweak.

Are you sure that you are not missing some section such as underarmored Head or some Rear torso?

I was fiddling with the fit, and did manage to get it to go up, although not sure what I did that allowed it. This really reminds me of starting eve online, where I had no idea what did what, but eventually sorted it out! Nice to be a noob sometimes.

So, the second value is always attainable, as long as you haven't put too heavy a set of modules on your loadout? And any extras from skills aren't included?

You can alway max out the armor of your 'Mech.

1. Log into the game. Click the "Mechlab" button.

3. If you wish, you can remove all weapons, equipment and armor to make sure that you did not miss some weapons or so.

4. Note that your 'Mech sports no armor now.

5. Now you can boost its armor to full 338 points.

You can always max out the armor of your 'Mech, even on a freshly bought 'Mech with no skills unlocked, as long as you have free tonnage.

As an aside, the default armor ratios are WAY off for MWO. Do not put more than a few points on your rear torso locations; I generally use 3-5 points. You might want more than that while you get used to positioning, but your 'mech will be more effectively durable with the vast majority of your armor points shifted front.
