Yeah, there is no weight limits for 12v12 at the moment. A perfect example of the absurd is the following:

Sometimes. I think they have said it's something like monthly, but it's been pretty irregular since I started (July). Maybe four changes? However, the last two cycles have been all Champions. And that's great since they're playable, but it limits the choices.

They used to change every patch (If I recall correctly) but as they have shifted to using the 'stronger' (C) mechs, they have pretty much halted that completely
Until we have more (C) mechs there isn't much (if anything) to change them to without giving us 'gimped' stock builds.

Yes - click the big blue DOWNLOAD button in the top right hand corner. After you're done the download, click on the lower left button that appears for a free day of premium time. After you get that day of premium time, an OFFER REDEEMED picture will appear.

When you start playing, start your premium time to maximize your cadet bonus for the first 25 games! Extra cbills! If you can, play all 25 games in 24 hours!!

The game is a separate software client. After you downloaded you should have installed it which will put an icon on your desktop to launch the actual game client. The website is only for information about the game and for the forums. This is not a browser-based game.

If you see a player fire on friendlies, do not post their name on the forums. Instead email support@mowmercs.com with details of the incident and any screenshots/video as evidence.

I'm playing together with a friend, and strangely he doesn't get any lock info from me. I just locked a Locust, he didn't get any info. Then I launched a UAV in the middle of the enemy team, but he didn't get any info on that either, and generally nobody seemed to care. Is there a known bug for that?
I was in a cutomized Commando 2D with single heatsinks.

You were inside an ECM field. Target info doesn't get shared inside ECM range.

As for the UAV I'm guessing it wasn't in the right spot, was shot down, or everyone was busy.

Officially when someone is on a friendly firing spree (i.e. they don't just shoot teammates but actively kill them), get any screenshots or video that you can for your report.

Unofficially, check to see if it was an isolated contest (which means the two players planned to duke it out and it ends with one or the other dying with the surviving player acting like nothing ever happened). If it was, that's it and there's no need to do anything.

Also unofficially and this is a final resort (example the offender is killing ally after ally deliberately). Once it's clear it wasn't something of an isolated "contest" in some corner of the map or a minor incident, in example it's at the very start and the player systematically kills ally after ally then it is no longer something you can take pictures of and simply ignore. Obviously something must be done. Before you begin, ensure that the target is in fact the aggressor and not a retaliating victim. Next, announce the target and why. Finally, kill it quickly and without trash talk.

Thankfully I haven't had to deal with one for about 5 months but when I did the person had killed two players for bringing "worthless mechs," and started on attacking a third. There wasn't much of a choice. We went with the assumption that he had an XL engine. Since this was not true, we took off his other shoulder and then allowed him to run around in such a way that he could not hurt us. We wound up winning the match thanks to our very offensive decoy.

But again, that's both unofficial and nothing you should ever do on your own accord nor is it something you should ever have to do. Also, should you ever resort to that it is important that you report it as well, preferably with proof that you did everything you could to deal with the situation before the final measure which includes 'trying to get away from the offender.'

Nope, the closest opponent was the Locust, and it was 300m in front of me. Nothing else around me, and even if, then definitely not with ECM (I checked, no jamming symbol, plus I had my Streak lock). It was on Caustic Valley in one of the many open areas.

Also, everyone being busy doesn't explain that my buddy on teamspeak didn't get any info. The UAV was definitely lighting up about 10 people, that's what happened on my minimap. It was in the middle of the blob.

Anyway, we'll keep an eye on that and inform you if we find something.

They reduced the angle and amount of the thrust, to (If I recall correctly - will try to find the patch note) prevent people from getting to places they had not planned on people getting and breaking the maps.

Is there a comprehensive reference somewhere that I can read to learn about all the weapons/systems/etc in the game?

I've never played any TT or other version of MW until now and a lot of this is greek to me. I'm not talking about the base weapons. Instead, I'd like to know more about how everything works like artemis, tag, why double heat sinks aren't available for me to purchase when config'ing mechs... many other questions.

http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/

don't forget to mouseover the various icons for more info

Double Heat sinks require an overhaul of your mech just like Endo Steel or Ferro armor; Access these from the upgrades tab.
