The letter is the target designation that appears above the target box when the enemy mech is targeted. This is so your team can know that that target is down.

The first enemy seen is assigned as "A", the second as "B", etc. This letter will appear when that mech is targeted, above the red target box.

I wish it would be alternative Q for enemies only.

Right arm of the C config.

Omni mechs can swap sections. The C arm was added without a full C config, because it was literally the only thing separating it from the other ones we have already. So they just put the arm in.

There is one or two more examples of this where they added a single part of a variant

And that also answers my question about that white circle with the dot in the middle and cross on the outside. It represents ECM capability.

Thx

Sorry, I am having difficulties quoting responses.

I have been having that problem on my friend's Windows 8 PC

I do not know if it is the combination of the OS and Browser (he will not put anything but IE on it) as a lot of reports put it - but that PC will not let me quote anyone.

Most of the workstations where I work have IE and they all definitely have trouble quoting.

I've heard a lot of people have issues with various functions of the forums when using IE. You should convince your friend to not be silly - IE is bad.

Older fella - doesn't quite trust any software that did not come with the PC - or was not bought with a physical copy.
He "knows" it is silly - but doesn't change the way he feels.

Since it is his PC - he gets to make the rules, and it is a small price to pay for those times I cannot access my own. ;)

Hello fellow members
Heres my question. i'm somewhat new to the game but have notice the cabforward look you get when in the cockpit. really notice it with the kingcrab. so you know the question. can i pull the veiw back to see more of the cockpit. i've tried a few fixes i've found via goggle and forums but nothing seems to work. any help would be nice and would be nice if it works with current patch. thanks again.

I think you're talking about changing your FoV (Field of View), which can be done by altering your user.cfg file (which should be located in the folder to which you've installed the game). You may not actually have a user.cfg file in that folder, and if you don't you can simply make one in a program like Notepad. Just be sure, when saving the file, to save it as file extension type .cfg and place it in your MWO folder once you've created it.

To change your FoV, simply add this line to the user.cfg:

cl_fov = XX

...where XX is a two digit number (i.e. 79 or 90, etc...). There is a minimum to which this must be set (which I think is 75). Just play around with different numbers to get the look you want. I'm pretty sure bigger numbers make you feel like you're sitting further from the cockpit glass (giving you a wider angle, and showing more of the cockpit interior), and smaller numbers make it seem like you're sitting closer to the cockpit glass (taking most of the cockpit interior out of your field of view).

Also, take a look at this thread, which goes into more detail about the feature: http://mwomercs.com/...f-being-a-mech/

The most common issue is people have not created the User.cfg correctly, and make a file with the wrong file extension User.cfg.txt)
