Okay, I'm trying to decipher the mysteries of the Pilot Skill Rating and failing utterly. Can anyone tell me what formula it uses?

That's if it actually uses a formula. I just finished a game where I did 470 damage and 267 match score (top on the team for both and with 2 KMDD on our only team kills)... we lost and I had no change in PSR. A few days ago I did a match with 1 damage and 15 points of team damage (and 2 kill assists; ROTFL)... we won and I had no change in PSR. I mention these two games as exceptions, because PSR seems to be related to team victory more than anything else.

I started the game with a raven, and zero damage was my most common score. PSR proceeded to the middle of the tier 5 and stopped. I bought the Atlas pack and my score steadily increased to just below tier 4. I started to play other mechs and my score dropped steadily until it disappeared completely from the display bar. All the while I would say that I was getting better at the game, regarding things like no longer walking into instant death situations, positioning, mech design, tactics, understanding roles etc. It has come back a bit, but hovers near the bottom.

My accuracy is less here than with other games, some of which will be due to running it in a small window on a system intended for work rather than gaming. But I suspect there is another element that I haven't figured out because of the way my torso seems to lag when I move the mouse. Also I tend to die a lot doing things that would be good in other tiers, but tend to get me dead with tier 5 allies... though I presume that is a common experience.

Knowing how PSR is calculated would be a huge help in figuring out what I need to do to get better.

Luckily, someone's done some work for you! Though I don't know if the actual formula is shared knowledge

This will not be in anywhere near as much detail as the linked thread but this is roughly how calculations for PSR work:
On a win you cannot go down, and match score higher than about 200 causes you to go up, with higher scores giving more of an increase.

On a loss if you get low score (I think below 250) you go down, if you get a high score (I think above 450 you get a small gain.

When the bar fully fills you go up a tier (unless in t1) when the bar fully empties you go down a tier (unless in t5)

The colour of the name in the forums tells you something about the players status.
If you click on the name you can visit the members forum profil page that also gives you status information.

I thought about ingame stats. But they are not listed there. Or do I understand something wrong?

Oh, stats not status. Sorry.

Well, you can look at the Leaderbords on the Profile. Search for a name and you can see his statistics for the season.

Okay, I have a rather odd question here... A few days ago, I had owned ten BattleMechs ( 1 light class, 6 medium class, 2 heavy class BattleMechs and 1 Awesome assault BattleMech, but when I just logged on, I noticed that I was missing the Awesome and seems to have been erased from my account forever, without me even selecting the option to sell it (I never sell it, for any reson, because it is one of my best BattleMechs, being an assault class, so I wonderinig where did it go, because I
Did not sell it at all and it should be in my Mech Lab, except now that it has mysteriously vanished and it is one of the 'Mechs that I use quite frequently, No I no one have have the 'Mech in my Mech Lab.
Before anyone asks, no, I did not sell it , so zi am left to wonder if there is someone in the game who
Cheated and stole it from my account.
Is there anything I can do to get it get it back? Or will I just have to buy the whole 'Mech all over again (which means upgrading it all over again) not to mention spend million of C-Bills on returning it to what it what it was before, including the weapons systems, engine upgrade et cetera.

Is this a glitch or has some yobbo on the site (we all know that ha lot of people cheat in MWO )taken it for good, leaving me to open my purse and spend what few million C-Bills I have have just to buy.

I am not happy, because my Awesome -8 was a high level (almost going on Master, but now that I cannot use it, I would like to know what happened to it. Any advice is helpful, thanks.

And to repeat, I did NOT sell the Awesome 'Mech (8WS-R) so I wanted to know if if it was hacked and from my account by another member.

I am going to send an enquiry to support about this, to find out what the heck happened to it.

Not to be insulting, but check your selectors at the top. Did you deselect assault or IS or something like that possibly?

check your inventory, does the Mech show up in the inventory?

as Terciel said have you checked the Mechlab filters, set them to assualt and Inner Sphere, does the Awesome show up then?

if it is truely gone send an email to accounts@mwomercs.com and explain what has happened, they should be able to help you get the Mech back if it has somehow been lost.

have you shared your login details with someone? because if not someone would have had to figure out your username and password to get into your account and sell the Mech.

the only method of cheating I am aware of (which seems to be really rare) has nothing to do with changing items in accounts, and discussion of it is forbidden.

There is no trading, swapping or ability to alter who owns a mech or component in this game, so no. No one hacked your account and gave themselves your Awesome.

As far as what has happened to it, follow Terciel's advise and double check to make sure your search selections on the top of the mech select screen are appropriate for the mech you are looking for. Make sure all are set to "all", as this will show all the options (even the trial mechs you don't own).

Beyond that, if it really is missing, you've already done the best thing you can do, contact support. They have the ability to see what happened to your Awesome, as well as reimburse it back to you if the game somehow made it go missing.

However, I do have some questions for you.
- Is your account shared? If so, could someone else have sold it on you?
- Do other people live with you? Could they have sold it on you when you were logged in, but away from your keyboard?
- Are your account name/password shared with other sites? Could they have been compromised, letting other people the opportunity to log onto your account and sell your stuff?

Only way I can think of someone selling something on you would be if they logged onto your account.

On the notion of "so many people cheat on MW:O", I'd like to disagree with that. Sure, there are some people who cheat, but I'd like to believe that the large majority of players on MW:O do not cheat, as I've only witnessed a few people who made me suspicious of their actions. So, I probably would discredit cheating or hacking from this problem. It might be something as simple as a wrong setting on the search options in your case.

That was the first thing I did, and it came up, when I selected both I and Clan 'Mechs (I have 1 Clan 'Mech), so it is not that. I went to sleep last night night with the Awesome, then this morning when I signed on, it had completely disappeared, and I know for a fact that I did not sell it at all, because the Awesome (Kanae - my 'Mech's name) is one the 'Mechs that I play with with the most.
I had to sell five other 'Mechs (half of them at elite status) just to upgrade the Awesome I just rebought and upgrade to what it was, although the speed of the 'Mech is still somewhat 10 off kp/h slower than the one that I lost.

That's really weird. I really think you should have emailed support before you sold other mechs to rebuy it, though. They're usually very helpful. I think I'd still contact them.

No, the "Mech did not show up in my inventory list with all of the other 'Mechs I own and is not visible in the hanger bay (Mech selection screen).

- Tesunia (sorry if that spelling is wrong) - yes, I live with my sister, but is not a fan of MechWarrior so never plays it, so it is not her, not just because I trust her, but also because she does not know my e-mail address I signed up with nor my password for MWO.

I think I am going to take that other blokes avice and report it, see if the administators/staff can find out what the heck has happened and if it is the resuly of a hack, I really wish I get some kind of compensation - not a better 'Mech, bit just another Awesone like that I have been using

Yeah, normally I would have right away, but I had just woken up 50 minutes ago and my brain needs at least 1 hours before it reationalises me for things, but I will comtact support anyway and see what went on.

If they find that it was an issue or you request it to return (if they find out you somehow sold it or whatever), Support tends to have a "one free mistake" policy. What this means is, they are normally willing to undo a single "sell" mistake.

Anyway, however it has left your inventory (by selling, bug, glitch, whatever) and support gives you the mech back, it should be the exact same mech that went missing, including all your customization. Support also should be able to find out why the mech went missing in the first place, and if it's suspected that someone else log onto your account and sold it onto you, they also should be able to see what IP addresses have logged onto your account. (AKA: If it isn't the normal IP address you use, than they can determine it was a hack.)

Only thing us players can do it tell you how to find it if you still own it. Beyond that, it's up to support. They are the only ones that can help you beyond that.

Thnks Tesunie and everyone else who posted with advice and everything, I appreciate it, but I did not know that if it was abug or glitch or whatever (I am not starting to doubt that someone hacked my account just to get my Awesome and none of the other 'Mechs) and that, if the staff find it true that it was a glitch or bug, I had no idea that they might replace it, but because of my earlier stupidity (you can quote me on that haha) jfor rebuying and upgrading my new Awesome, I now feel the fool for having to seel five other 'Mechs (mostly mediums, my Raven -3L and Quickdraw just to upgrade my new Awesome.
I will send off a report to the staff as soon as I finish posting this comment.

Thanks a lot, everyone, for your suggestions and hope that it all works out in the end.

Here's the link.
https://mwomercs.com...le/leaderboards

To find it again click on "profile" at the top right, then look at the new menu that appears under the top banner, leaderboards is in the middle of that. Next to it is stats, to see your detailed stats.

Timicon, PGI is really very good at fixing issues, so I have confidence that you will have your Awesome back.

I really want to comment on cheating in MWO. Yes it does happen, but it is very, very, very infrequent. There are some players that are really very good at this game. I was looking at my stats the other day and in my nearly 25,000 drops I have only seen one clear example of cheating, and that was before PGI banned a bunch of players from the game. There were fewer than 100 players banned, so even if MWO *only* has 20,000 active players, that means that more than 99 percent are playing legally. Please be very, very careful about claiming cheaters, because given my past experience in this game, I very rarely believe it.

Well, mech skill does not disappear with selling mech. Then you buy again same chassis and variant you receive your mech with it's skill back.
