I disagree. I'd say give it a try, but Keep Van mw's warning in mind, and be prepared to try and work with the team. Some people don't care for it, some love it, and some look at it as something to strive for that they're not ready for yet.

If you are interested, I've some Advice here-in.

But yes, as an IS Loyalist, you'll only be taking IS mechs.

We had a group of 12 man doing FP.

As we launched to get a game, the client displayed that "searching..." text for ages, for many many minutes. Is that supposed to work like that when you have a full 12 man group? I thought we are supposed to get the lobby instantly where you can chat, see the map and mode ect. and then wait for max 10 mins(or was it 9) for enemy team to be matched againts?

That is how it is suppose to work.

As a full 12 man, you get first priority for a lobby as soon as it opens up. However, there are only so many lobbies opened at a given time. Last I knew, only one lobby is open at a time, so only one team is actively looking for opponents at a time. This is to prevent spammed forces too quickly and getting a bunch of uncontested drops too close together.

Basically, you wait less time (because you have priority over a mixed team), but you still have to wait for a lobby to open first. Then wait up to 10 minutes for an opposing force to queue up with you, and then you get a match.


If the system didn't work this way, imagine a large unit (or a busy group day) that sets up twelve 12 man teams. If they all got instant lobbies, than the enemy forces would have 10 minutes to mobilize 144 players... or have uncontested matches and lose territory quickly.

Thanks, makes perfect sense why it's set up like that. I guess it also meant that other large groups were playing Clans at the same time.

Ingame tooltip tells me that the current Advanced UAVs have a 240m detection radius and a duration of 60s before Skill Nodes.

The UAV Duration Node adds a flat 10 seconds to the duration.

Each UAV Range Node give +20% to the base range, total +40% fully skilled, for a total max radius of 336m.

Should be. But a Hard Drive does not run the game by itself...

Higher dps at short range anf shorter burn time so you can apply damage more effectively.

I think biggest advantage of medium pulse over ERM is better damage/heat. ERMs biggest advantage is range. Then the smaller differences are weight and DPS.

When you jump high with your mech and power down while in air, do you disappear from enemy radars while free falling or when you hit the ground? This needs to be verified.

If you are fully shut down while in mid air, their locks break in the air. However, in order to do this, you will have to land hard enough to damage your legs. You also have to jump high enough so that, when you shut down, that the last position of their lock was above your mech.

Most times when this is done, the mech shuts down too close to the ground, leaving the missiles last track near the head of the mech still, resulting in the missiles loosing lock, yet still hitting you.

If you are going to pop tart then you should be doing it from a position where you have ample cover after you land, which would negate any need to break a lock mid-air
