Here's a simple, kind of silly question: does anyone actually have the Death Star achievement? If so, how many people have it and do we have a video of the match(es) where they got it?

Ah! I hadn't realized you could get it in FP matches. That does seem a lot more reasonable. Hhhmm, maybe I should play more FP...

I am sorry to disappoint you, but you can not get those achievements in the Faction Play or in Private Matches.

You must earn them in the Quick Play.

Even in the video, the achievements didn't pop up. At least, I'm pretty sure it shows there.
That would be a nice way to get them though.

I recently got ace of spades... should have saved that game. It was in the gauss trial jager that I was only running for the events. Was playing cautious since I'd never really used gauss. And somehow ended up in the right spot REPEATEDLY on River City.

They don't have artemis. Only SRM and LRM launchers have artemis versions.

The setting on your mech only determines if you can equip those versions of SRM and LRM or not. Does nothing else.

From a lore standpoint, all ATMs have Artemis, so their ingame stats already reflect that.

Short Question....
Gauss.... cool down node DOES affect it, right? Trying to get my dual gauss catapult a little more reliable. Its currently a big win or big fail build.

and lol... yeah... I ran out of CBills and MC to buy new mechs, so I've been playing the 3 riflemen, 2 marauders, and Archer that I'd recently been leveling up (which cause some BAD games and a dip into T4). Now I need to save up to get the engines in them that they need.

EDIT: Annnnd.... back into T4. lol. I should stop field testing new loadouts.
Oddly enough... its given me confirmation that T3 matches tend to be found instantly, while T4 has to wait a bit on the matchmaker.

Yes, unlocking Cooldown nodes will make your Gauss Rifles fire faster.

Yeah, mastering a new 'Mech often means some temporary PSR loss. But once you have that 'Mech fully skilled up, your PSR will go up again.

The game considers special versions of mechs as distinct chassis of their own so if you for example have a ANH-1A(S) and import a build code for ANH-1A, no S, the game will not like it.

It is still possible to buy colors and patterns to be used only on one mech or only once? if so, how do I get that?

You are looking for one-shot camos. You find these under "Patterns", change the filter from "unlockable" to "oneshot" (don't remember if that is the right word, but it's the only other option).
Colours can not be bought "oneshot".

1. Click "Select 'Mech".



2. Click on your chosen 'Mech.

3. Click "Camo Specs".



4. Click on the "Pattern" tab.

5. Click on the small downward arrow to switch to One-Shot patterns.

6. Select the camo pattern that you like.



7. Click "Color".

8. Select the color channel.

9. Click on the color that you would like to buy.



10. Click "View Cart" to see what you are buying.



11. Items that you are going to buy: Three colors (3*500 MC) and One-Shot camo pattern (75 MC).



12. Click "Save".

Colors are only available one way... unlocked to use everywhere and multiple times. Once you buy a color, it can be put on ALL of your mechs, including the special color heroes.

Its nice because you can make them all match... like a fleet. E.G., mine are all red white and blue. Started with the Sherman camo pattern... but don't have camo on everything. They can still be matchy-match though!

FYI, colors can be 'basic'... bought with CBill.
Then theres some other tiers of colors that cost increasingly more MC.
GENERALLY... the cheaper ones are less 'bold'. Often you can find a 'close enough' color for cheaper or CBill.

Keep in mind, using One-Shot camos, you can still change the colors later without rebuying the camo itself! And it costs 10 one-shots to equal one pattern unlock which is for all variants of a chassis (not just the single one), so unless you like to redesign your mechs a lot or have 5 variants of a chassis and change them all more than twice, one-shot is the cheaper option.

The 6 "basic" colors, purchased with cbills, are honestly pretty terrible colors. Honestly, buy some MC and use at least the standard 500 MC kinds. There just was a sale on almost all colors. Look out for sales for 50% off, then snag a few you think you'd use. Remember, you only have to buy a color once, and then you own it with unlimited use for as long as this game exists.
