Rare problem that the programmers are trying to figure out for the good part of a year now. Sorry to hear that it's affecting you.
Also, rude.

Contact support. They may be able to help you. I know in some cases, they've allowed account name changes for various legit reasons. There is currently no way in game or from the website to change your pilot name.

Because they come with uppgrades such as XL engines, endo Steel and Ferro pre-installed. If you break down the costs, you actually get a decent bargain with the XL being significantly cheaper than what you'd have to pay for refits for example. But that still results in high up front costs.

I usually figure any IS mech will cost me double the initial purchase price by the time I upgrade to double heat sinks, endo structure and XL engine. So they're really comparable with Clan mechs in that respect.

Press the "print screen" key when your score is displayed. The screen shot is saved in your C:/Users/"user name"/Saved Games/MWO/Screen Shots folder.

hopefully Google Translate has made this readable,
after the initial download it can take a while to finish the install (upto about an hour).
if after an hour it has not finished downloading:
in the top right corner of the launcher click on the 2 cogs icon, select start the MWO repair tool
click yes
let the repair tool run
if this does not help I suggest asking in the Russian forum, as something may have been lost in translation

In MWO, since all the upgrades are almost mandatory, the IS 'Mechs are almost universally more expensive when it comes to similar gears and loadouts for the same weight.
In Battletech since I know you're interested, IS tech is centuries outdated with much of it becoming near extinct, while Clan tech has been preserved even if few improvements really happened. The rare access of Clan tech to the IS, when it does become available, puts it at a near impossible premium. Clans themselves don't actually buy their 'Mechs. They are earned through Trials, honor, prestige and most importantly through demonstration of their abilities.

since you cannot swap omnipods directly between equipped on different mechs but need some spare ones sitting in the inventory... does it mean that your pre-ordered omni mechs cannot get their omnipods swapped till the mechs are out for c-bills? it seems a huge turn over

except you can swap the engine when you elite a chassis
and clan mechs can swap hardpoints at will. it's a trade off system. You guys have more consistent engines (more reliable in some cases too), but they are hard locked, and can swap hardpoints.
While we get variable engines that we can change at will between STD and XL, but are thus less consistent, and also more vulnerable.
You might not notice it, but a clan force always moves as a better cluster, not because the pilots are better, but because all the mechs have very similar speeds. Which means that the cases of a super fast idiot going solo v 12 are less frequent (they do happen, by golly do they happen, just not as easily. It's practically an achievement to do it in a clan mech)

I'm pretty sure you can purchase the pods regardless of whether the mechs have been released to the public or not.
I may be mistaken here, but for wave 1. I'm pretty sure I bought my pods soon as I got my pre-ordered mechs. Someone please correct me if my senile brain got this wrong.

Yeah, pods (which can be bought with C-Bills) will never be in the gift shop, because that could cause some problems for people. However, once the mechs are delivered to your mech bay. You should have access to their tech in the mech shop. Like I said, I believe I managed to buy pods for my wave 1 clan mechs the moment they arrived (they were pre-ordered, so I had them before the mechs were released for MC or C-Bills)

I think bad arcade kitty's point is you do not have to pay for an XL engine 3 times to elite the chassis when playing IS which you do with the Clan Mechs, that means, unless you decide to purchase a seperate XL engine for each Mec,h elating an IS Chassis which you want to use the XL Engines with will often work out less expensive than the Clan chassis because you can share the engine between variants potentially saving 8+ million cbills per chassis.
however I do agree that there is not usualy much difference between the price of getting a Clan Mech ready for battle compared to an IS Mech, and in many cases the IS Mech will be as expensive if not more, and I think the extra £3.33 per variant in a Clan preorder pack is offset by the 7+ (assuming you want an XL engine, DHS and Endo) hours income you are not having to spend earning cbills to pay for the upgrades

If the purchase price of a mech, for example, is 5 Million C-Bills, don't think of buying it until you have at lease 10 Million C-Bills in the bank.
If IS pilots would follow this formula, they will save themselves a lot of frustration when they have this shiny new mech and no money to upgrade it. Otherwise some will start ranting about how bad a mech it is. All stock IS mechs are bad when matched against leveled and upgraded mechs, Clan or IS.
