The WVR-6K is an absolute monster with the Right Arm Laser Fist of Death. I've actually managed to clear 1k damage with the thing. Just...don't get focused. I guess that applies to basically everything, though. I run it with an XL 300, 1 ML in the head, 3 LL in the RA, and an LRM 5 in the LT just to annoy people. I had an SRM 4, but it just wasn't doing enough to justify keeping. I'd happily use a bigger engine, but haven't been able to afford one yet - I've been putting my money into a BNC-3M build.

Sure, I know it would cost a good deal to have to rebuy them for your 'Mech(s) if they are destroyed in battleand considering the measly amount of C-Bills you earn from most drops, but it does not really add much to the realism of a real 'Mech battle if they are destroyed in battle only to find that you still have them on your 'Mech after the match is over.
So, my question, I suppose I should put forward is this: would most people prefer the realism of having to rebuy the conponents that they lost in battle rather than just having them magically appear back in the MechLab and on your 'Mech, or does the cost of repairing your 'Mech if you are killed in a drop (20,000 C-Bills, I believe is the aright amount for complete 'Mech repairswhen you die) also cover repairing the components that were either damaged or destroyed in battle?

I was thinking that as soon as I get back in the game, I will purchase MC, but I having a little trouble deciding what would be best to spend the MC on. I do not really care about buying Champion or Hero packages(I am content with the regular C-Bill variety 'Mech that you can purchase), but what do most people think is better to spend MC on when they have it? Cockpit items, converting exp from currently owned mastered 'Mechs so that you can then use that new exp you get to help level up the tiers on the 'Mechs you have that need the exp to fully master them or new Mech Bays?
I currently have 8 Mech Bays which will be filled once I finish mastering up the Quickdraw, Wolverine and Jenners, and since I want to buy at least the 12,000 MC package, whatwould be best to spend it on? Should I use some of it to buy new Mech Bays for when I finally decide to start expanding my heavy 'Mech class or split it up so that I use some to buy new MechLabs and the rest to convert exp of already mastered 'Mechs to level up the tiers of the 'Mechs that are only halfway through the Elite tier?
(I am not much interested in buy cockpit items with MC, since I find the majority of them distracting when playing and you can get already get a lot of them for free through sponsored Events like the last Oceanic Server Event)?

After that, it's to taste. There's a hero sale on tomorrow, but if you don't care for heroes, then why not get a colour to paint up your mechs? I'd suggest only one shot schemes, if you want to scheme em up though.
As for XP conversion, that's more a 'do it for the modules' thing for me than a 'Master my mechs faster' thing for me. And since you don't seem to mind the cbill grind, I'm betting you don't mind skilling up your mechs either. I'd atleast just XP convert when there's a sale on.
About that... There will be tomorrow.

We had re-arm and repair, and the system proved too hostile. First, it discourages you from running good engines in your mechs. It discourages running expensive mechs. It even makes play styles worse, because people are terrified of losing even a single point of armor, since that comes out of their winnings. You think farming for a big XL engine is hard? Wait until you have to pay to replace when it's destroyed, 3 matches in a row.
All in all, the system ended up making the game worse on too many levels to remain viable. Especially since it was HORRIBLE, for new players. At least many of us have a lot of mechs, and many millions of C-Bills stored, so we can run actually decent builds. A new player will be stuck with stock builds, and will not get the chance to do much before they are bankrupt.
BTW, you need to double check the prices. ONE Double Heatsink sets you back about 12,000 C-Bills. If your mech gets fully destroyed, you're looking at upwards of 5+ million C-Bills in expenses, before factoring in the engine cost.

So something of that nature was in the game when it was first released but proved too much, considering the low amount of C-Bill rewards per match to be viable to continue? I can understand that, considering that with the newer players and how much much more harder it is to get C-Bills per match that it would prove too much and turn a lot of people away from the game, if they had to re-buy each component destroyed when trying to save up for new 'Mechs and equipment. Thanks for clearingt hat up.
I guess that I am just one of those people that likes a lot more realism to games that I play, but considering that this is just a game, it would take too much fun out of it if you had to continually replace things on your 'Mech after each drop/match.
As for doubling the prices for certain things, like DHS being 12,000 C-Bills in comparison to 6,000 C-Bills for SHS, I understand that perfectly well; I just used the 20,000 C-Bill full 'Mech repair after being killed in a drop as an example, since you lose 20,000 C-Bills each time you die in a match, whereas you do not get it taken away if you are on the losing side of a match and come out of it alive (as in cap drops or base capture matches), not to indicate repairing each component individually.

Well,, since I only have 2 Mech Bays free and i plan on using them both first to buy the last two Quickdraws to level up their tiers, I think buying at least 4 more Mech Bays is first on my list, but I will take your recommendation to wait to buy them when the sales are on, so as not to waste any MC needlessly, the same with exp conversion.
I honestly had not thought much about a colour scheme for my 'Mechs - personally, while some look quite cool, I just do not see any real need to purchase a colour scheme for any of my 'Mechs and stick with the default. Although that may change if any new colour schemes become available that I would really want to get.
Thanks kindly to the both of you. :-)

If I could provide a screen shot of it, I would, however I do not know how to paste images on the forums yet (never bothered to learn how).
However, the next time you drop in a match and die, look at the match statistics and it shows that you have 20,000 C-Bills deducted from your earnings for your death, although that could simply be the amount of money you would have gotten had you not died.

The only negative numbers come from Teamkills. This sounds very strange.
If you press "Print" on your keyboard, the game will save a JPG image in your user\saved games\Mechwarrior Online folder, which you can upload to imgur or other picture hosting websites (most which are free).
With the image uploaded you can link it in here.
(You can not just drag&drop or upload images on the forum itself)

Only way for you to have -20,000 pop up in your end screen is if you team killed two players.
That is the only death you get penalized for.

You can still loose money if you are using and buying consumables but don't make enough in match to cover the cost. But that won't show explicitly on any screen, certainly not the end of round screen.
