In the wake of the AC2 and UAC2 getting changed to have the same crit-seeking bonuses as the LB2-X, is there any point using the LB2-X?

For clans, a single shot, instead of a volley of 2 bullets. Otherwise, not much anymore?

the CUAC2 is single shot now, the only real reason to take the LBX2 is that it will be better at hitting fast Mechs (because it is not pinpoint damage)

I think LB ACs have slightly longer ranges.

Which is kinda negated by their spread tendencies...

About ranges.....ecm, seismic sensor and so....are the range values always the radius? I noticed that ECM only works on my teammates are within 90m (so 90m radius and 180m diameter). Is that the same for seismic sensor? (250m diameter or radius?)

When i play overnight, my mechs get the x2 marking at 1:00 AM CET. That is midnight GMT.

Yes, for all of them the range is the radius around the mech carrying it.

They don't thave the same crit seeking bonuses. Clan AC/2 is +6%, LB2-X is +14% according to smurfy.

Any server or just European ones?

Outside the games there is no difference between the regional servers. The double XP has nothing to do with the battle servers. Thus it should be the same

I only play on the European servers, but as i could at any time just switch servers, i see now way how this reset could be bound to my server preference. The only theoretical thing that -could- happen is that your account itself would be grouped into a "european reset group" or something like that, based on the information you gave when registering it. But i somehow doubt that, as it sounds like a lot of effort for such a small feature.

How does matchmaking work? Is there a fixed amount of slots for light/medium/heavy/assault, a fixed amount of tons for the whole team while server keeps the classes mixed?

Fixed slots we had in the past. I could write a long text about how it works, but here is the short version:
- Matchmaking works differently for solo play and group play.
- When you drop solo, the game tries to fill 3 of each weight class for each side, but only for a limited while.
- Your tier determines which players you play against. The game when you drop tries to match you with people as close to your tier as possible, but again, the longer matchmaking takes, the less strict it will be on that. You still can always be certain that the people you fight with and against are no more than two tiers away from your own rating. (So Tier 5 never has to face tier 2 or better. )
- The longer matchmaking takes, the more "loose" the criteria for matching teams gets.
- All players in the game will be solo players.

- When dropping in group, you can use any size from 2 to 12 with the exception of 11 group members. The system does not work for 11 people, as the game will never fit a solo player into a group game.
- When you drop with 12 people, you will be matched against another 12 man group. If you drop with 10 or less group members, the game will assemble both sides of a match with such groups.
- There is no mechanic there preventing that one side might be a 10 man and a 2 man group, while the other side consists of all 2 man groups.
- When forming a group, you have to be within certain tonage limitations.
- The limitations do not scale linearily with the number of team members. Instead you get less extra tonnage for each additional member. Larger groups generally have a huge advantage by being able to organize themselves better, so the smaller groups get a little compensation by having more drop weight per team member.

Keep in mind that this is not the -whole- truth about matchmaking, but this already got way too long in this version. If you really want to know more, i think it was one of the developers vlogs where it was explained in more detail, but i couldn't quickly tell which one.

The "short" version is pretty long :) That is all I need to know about the solo queue. And I also now know about groups (I've been a lone wolf in MWO and never fought in a group, but this may change later).

Thank you !

Go Crow, Bro. Regret Nothing™ Posted Image

In light of the recent sale, I bought my first Stormcrow - the SCR-D. Strapped five Stream SRM 6 launchers on it (had those sitting in my inventory anyway), That thing is friggin' hilarious! The best part is, you're standing behind someone, stripping them off their armour with your 60 damage (staggered) alphas and they ignore you because you're just a medium Posted Image

Last match was pretty nice. Well over 1,000 damage. Only a single kill, though, probably due to the missile spread. The XP and C-Bills you rake in with those matches, though...

If you're primarily concerned with mechbay management, then the answer is not to sell more than one of your CT-laser variants right away. Iraqi Walker is correct, that there are lots of different builds to be had, and it's more expensive to buy it twice.

I did exactly that, sold one of them, kept two. Might eventually make sense to not have to swap around between different builds constantly, but at the moment, I'm way to poor to not use the C-Bill boosted variant as much as possible. But having it in case I need is always the preferable option!Posted Image

The profile pic is the banner of whichever Faction you are under contract to.

...which means you cannot use any pic. To choose a faction go ingame and in the main menue -> Faction
There should pop an introduction to the factions up, which let's you choose a contract
