Btw. How does camo and paint work? I bought a bit of colour and a pattern but so far I can only use it on my marauders. My Firestarter and the 2 gift mechs don't have the paint and pattern when I click on owned.
Thanks for the help.
Here's something important that I believe was overlook in regards to camo:
There are two types of camo:
1-Permanent unlock (usually quite expensive)
2-One-Shot
Permanent unlock will unlock that camo for this chassis, and any and all current, and future variants (if you buy the Sherman camo for your CN9-D, it will be unlocked for all of them), and should you choose to change camos, it will remain permanently in your inventory. Unlike on-shot camos.
One-shot has a deceptive name though. It is significantly cheaper, but it doesn't last one battle like it's name might imply. It's applied to the mech once. If you change it and save, then it's deleted. Much more useful if you have only one or two variants that you would pilot from that chassis
For example, my COM-2D is the only Commando that I pilot, so I decided to put the Phranken camo on it. I got the one-shot. It's been through about 100 drops since, and it's still there. However, the minute I change to a different camo (and save that change), the phranken camo is removed. While it's on my COM-2D it's only on my COM-2D, I can't put it on any other commando.
The difference between the two is that the one-shot is significantly cheaper, and useful for when you have 1 or 2 variants, only, and don't want to invest. Plus, it's a smaller lump sum, compared to a permanent unlock, which is usually about
triple ten times the price of the one shot
(250 vs. 750) (75 vs. 750)
EDIT:My numbers were off. Thank you Rogue Jedi for correcting my senile memory, XD.
