Is the C-AC 20 bugged? It seems to be the exact same as the Ultra version, onyl the weight is different?

CAC20 and CUAC20 and the CLBx20 all should weigh the same exact weight. However, their behaviors are vastly different.

The CAC20 shoots once per cooldown, and will shoot in a short burst of bullets.
The CUAC20 can shoot twice per cooldown (double tap) with the same short burst of bullets, but with a chance of jamming when you do double tap.
CBLx20 will shoot a spread of bullets like a shotgun.

For the most part, if you are placing an CAC20 on your mech, probably should just go for the UAC20 instead. Same weight, but better damage potential.

PS: If you are just press and holding the shooting button, the UAC20 and AC20 will have the same (no jam chance) fire rate. If you tap the UAC20 trigger, you can shoot it faster.

Hmm the problem is when I was using the CAC20 it fired bursts of 4 or so without any tapping, just like an ultra would. Also, the CAC20 ammo comes in quantities of 28 per ton, just like the ultra and unlike the IS AC20 that only has 7. So pretty sure somethig is amiss...

Nothing is a amiss

Here's what's going on:

If you just shoot the UAC 20, and the AC 20, they fire the same, 4 bullets. If you tap the UAC 20 during it's cooldown, it can fire a second burst of 4 bullets. Meaning in the same time an AC 20 deals 20 damage, the UAC version can deal 40 damage. The only downside is that the UAC has a small chance of jamming for 5 seconds.

Even with the jams factored in, the UAC versions tend to sustain more DPS than the regular ones. Except for the C-AC 2.

The IS version fires only one bullet and it deals 20 damage. 7x4 = 28, which is why the clan version has 28 bullets in a ton of ammo. It's seven shots for the IS and the clan version. The clan version just fires more pellets per shot that total up to 20 damage.

Older player returned after an absence. I was flipping through my profile and realized I never redeemed content from older pre-orders. Is this permanently lost or should I contact support?

It should still be redeemable via your forum profile page.

Click "Profile" next to the "Logout" button.
Then once there, next to your "stats" tab (on the top header), you should see "Content". Go there. Anything you can select from packages should be there.
Don't go to "redeem", as that is for gift/promo codes.

What is KMDD ? I couldn't find the goals for those "achievements".

Kill Most Damage Dealt...

It's when you get a killing shot, and deal the most damage to that target upon it's death.

Hello again.

wondering how salvage damage is calculated?

I'm guessing it has to do with the tonnage of mechs destroyed in battle, or perhaps the Salvage value of all the components ripped off.

Thanks.

Thats a solo kill, no?

You can get KMDD so long as you do the most damage and they are killed.

You can get KMMD without getting the killing blow you just need to have done the most damage to a killed mech. Solo kill is just that, you take them down on your own. I cannot remember what the salvage bonus is to be honest.

Someone mentioned how simple it is to search in the forums, so I found a relevant answer. In case anyone else is interested in how salvage works.

Posted 03 November 2012 - 08:43 PM

Nope, it's based on 2% of whatever enemy mechs you've killed have left, and then split among you and all your teamates. So to over simplify here if say you kill a mech and he had 75% damage on all components, then he'd be worth a straight 75% of what he would be normally if you just sold it. Now you make 2% of that 75% divided by your number of teamates.

Say the mech was worth 2million (random number I pulled out my ***) C-bills:
2mil*75% = 1.5mil
1.5mil*2% = 30k
now divided among you and your teammates
30k/8 = 3750 C-bills each player receives in salvage.

Also you only get salvage if you win.

Thanks to Watchit

So from what I can tell; you earn more C-bills from salvaging mechs that have more of their overall component health remaining upon their death. Makes sense.

We are also charged for ammunition used and repairs to our own mechs, correct? Very complimentary.

Repair and rearming costs were removed not long after your example post. No Idea if the salvage math is still relevant either.

A "solo kill" is when you get "kill most damage dealt" and "killing blow", I am pretty sure you can get "solo kill" with other players having done damage to that Mech.
I am sure I have received a solo kill on Mechs other people were shooting at more than once.

It appears you are correct.

I've never seen any statement to the contrary, so I would imagine it's the same or similar since we've gone to 12 player teams now.

C-bill rewards in general went down when we went to 12-man teams. Don't know if salvage rewards suffered or not.

Okay, I'm on my second day, and I'm wondering is there any way to sell gear that's in your warehouse, or mechs in your mechbays, that you no longer want? If it's here then I must be missing something, so if you could detail the way to do so then that would be greatly appreciated. TY Posted Image

Second dumb question: My pilot exerience has stopped accumulating a little short of completing tier 5. What do I do to make it advance again? Again TY...

On your main screen, look for "Inventory" on the left hand side. That's where you sell unwanted items, but you get a LOT less selling things than their purchase cost.

The Tier 5 is your Pilot Skill Rating, not your experience. Win games, or even perform really well on a loss, and it will go up.
