I5=Quad core. 2 physical cores. 2 logical processors. So for all intensive purposes it is a quad core.
The video is close enough that it wont kill your machine. 74% of the systems performance is the CPU. And my work did not have the stats for what the video card contributed, but you should be able to play just fine. The differences between the 2 cards is almost nothing. Some times its an added vid port, or an extra 200 or so polygon shaders.

If you read the whole thread they mention that toward the begining. Originally it was only Vista and Windows 7 but they quickly tested it and it CAN run on XP.

Just remember these are BETA specs meaning that the game hasn't been optimized which requires more specs than it might come end of primary development.

I'm glad there has been so much up front discussion from the DEVS on this. Thank you all!

well thanks nice check up page, there is Crysis, Crysis 2 and Crysis Warhead, if I assume that Crysis Warhead is Crysis 3 then yes I can run it but I fail for Crysis 2....what the heck?

oops sry that was a typo, it is crysis 2 that u were supposed to check ur system against however unless u fail in the graphics or ram part Id just compare ur results to the sys specs MWO posted or u can copy and post them here and see if someone can decipher them for you

yes it is. After Nvidia went to the 9000's siries they "reset" the number and went with the 200's and so on. I would be surpirsied if anyone dosn't have that card or newer already, as for the rest of the system.....well.

8800 is quite an old card it is a DX9 card, so if anyone has anything thats newer then that you wont have much of an issue playing the game from the cards standpoint. However the rest of your system you might need to make sure there at the min, or at least slightly under that. RAM is quite important and XP CAN read 4GB but you need the 64bit verstion, as 32bit caps at 2gb.

Crud... My display adapter is just under the minimum listed here (HD4870 iirc. Not on the machine atm.). I can live with poor performance but MWO not running would be kind of a letdown after all the waiting. Let's hope it runs.

As for the founders pack news, that's great to know that the server transfer will be available.

Err I'd like to nitpick and point out a typo. There are no i3 2500s. That's an i5. i3s only go up to i think 2130 cause starting at the 2300 mark is the i5 processors.

I upgraded back in 2008, and this thing will still run MWO well. YAY!

Lack of support for XP would have been a deal breaker for me, very happy.

It's also totally awesome to know that if Australia ever gets it's own server, I'll be able to transfer my profile over.
