Am really looking forward to this game and will gladly celebrate every way that it is not WOT.
But besides that, really enjoy this series and am looking forward to having giant space robots of the future again.
Thanks and cheers

and skeetr, it's really not relevant how those other clowns are handling their game. when you understand their are former soviet bloc, you understand why some of their stuff favors who it does. and given there are 5 times as many players in russia, for that game, as there are outside russia, big shock that they give those folks what they want and hang the rest out. money talks, and far more folks in the east are paying them than in the west and the south pacific. economics 101.
fortunately, MWO shouldn't have a need for tricks and subterfuge to generate the interest necessary to get money. it's too popular a franchise, obviously, given they went through 17 rounds of Founder closed beta invites and still had founders waiting for a key. by the end, it was probably close to 20k just in the 17 rounds of invites, and who knows how many more that got access on or after July 27. the game should be fairly well supported, from the get go, by the looks of things.

Where to start, where to start? :-)
Windows 7 is indeed a pretty decent OS but XP continues to be used because it's arguably an even better OS. The argument about being outdated is moot, Windows 7 was outdated the day it released and this is not news, it takes years to develop an OS and before it ever releases its successor is heavily in development. It's nice that you feel it is necessary to constantly upgrade your PC and can afford to do so (it's not actually, ask business using twelve year old machines still, because they continue to work for the intended tasks). I'll leave alone your bad spelling, grammar and formatting except to say that credibility is badly damaged when you cannot master those but attempt to take a preachy line on technical matters.

If you are still running XP then you will have to stick with MW4 or something that XP can run. If you want to play this game you are going to have to update your system. No sense in getting mad over it..

Incorrect. It has already been repeatedly confirmed as working on XP. Worse, if you were inferring something from the 8 GiB you're even more wrong, XP can address obscene amounts of RAM, it's merely a matter of licensing.

I'm not likely to pay $100+ for Win 7 to play a game when my other games run on XP.
No I won't buy a gray market copy nor will I just torrent a free copy.
A proper legit copy of Win7 is not cheap.

I'd love to invest some money into this game, but I need to find some settings that will run the game without lagging. So far I haven't found them.
