Consider the awesome PC Gamer skin, three unlocked colors (surprisingly similar to these same three free colors), and exclusive bobble-head that was only given away for free to a select few as you mention. A cool skin, check; exclusive to a select few, check; also a cockpit item, check. You can't buy that pattern or that bobble-head for MC now.

Perhaps some people did have a good precedent to believe that exclusive meant exclusive. I'm disappointed that many of the forum users here lack the empathy to see that just because it would not or does not concern you does not make the concern invalid.

Consider that it is not a thing that was given away for free, it was a premium in exchange for promoting the packages and attaining a stretch goal. This was previously mentioned as being an effort to crowd source the outreach and marketing similar to kickstarter campaigns and attaining that stretch goal was the reward. Users should be able to expect rewards to be valuable. Finally, consider in addition to the free publicity I provided on social media to my social networks, it could have very easily influenced my decision to add the saber reinforcements in hopes of aiding in the attainment of the stretch goal.

Choose not to care, that is within your prerogative. Alternatively, choose not to be angry about it, this is what I will choose. However, don't choose to just oppose valid concerns other people have, that's just unnecessarily cruel.

But then again isn't unnecessary cruelty what the internet was made for. I suppose if you feel that is acceptable, then troll on.

In the Year of Our Lord 2013 maybe you've heard of private messages. They don't need to have meetings so much as they need to send messages out to users that are within a certain forum group IE moderators and community managers.

You had to know that people were going to get to pay money for a flame pattern eventually. That's their whole business model!

Maybe we'll exclusively get it a week early than other people can pay for it, but we'll still be the only ones with phoenix mechs to put 'em on.

Captain Obvious just bopped me on the forehead and said "You could have had a V8." I suggested once that if the flame pattern wasn't unlocked it would be put of for sale. It didn't occur to me that it'd be up for sale no matter what.

I'm glad the Flame pattern isn't exclusive to my Phoenix mechs... I want to be able to put it on my Dragons (oh how I wish I could put it on my Flame )

So the Flame pattern is 'exclusive' to PP as a give away but available to anyone for purchase. There is already another exclusive pattern for the Phoenix mechs. Unless I'm missing something else this seems reasonable enough. Personally I expected they would make the Flame pattern available for purchase.

Overall still a great value and I can't wait for the goodies. Kudos on the CU and fingers crossed the Battlemaster isn't actually shorter than the Shadowhawk. : )

Thanks Bryan on the info, I love this kind of info that gives us some info and something to speculate and look forward to, though not too much speculation...as that can become harmful to some.

Actually if you bother to mouse over the flame bar, the toast (pop up), clearly states 'Exclusive' pheonix pattern, so thats where, and why people got the idea, because some people read all the details
