But Mag...they already have a lump of coal...and it's worth 250 MC...plus, I think it's one of the cockpit items that they're giving away.

Weirdly, I guessed "large" and "eats" but not "small" or "fish", the latter of which really should have been obvious.
Here's an easy one for you: "Nära skjuter ingen hare". I'm sure you can find the German equivalent

EN: Close, but no cigar.
DE: Knapp daneben ist auch vorbei.
DE2: Nahe dran zählt nur bei Handgranaten und Atombomben.
New One: Al piu potente ceda il più prudente.

I didn't even know where to begin guessing with that one. Wikiquotes translates it as "Better to bow than break", which isn't a phrase I'd ever come accross before either. Makes enough sense though, I guess.
Here's a slightly non-standard one for you. Bonus points if you can guess the book it came from
Veni, Vermini, Vomui

Veni, Vermini, Vomui (I came, I got ratted(as in drunk), I threw up)
That was from Terry Pratchett. Book Jingo (German Fliegende Fetzen) part of the guards series.
But also Vermini and Vomui sound a lot like the english counterparts not so hard to guess.
Ok new one:
Effectus sequitir causam
(An easier one today, holidays and all.)

Semper Gumbi...
Or something in Latin.
P.S. PGI, all I want for Christmas from you is 'mech bays, so you can start giving me those anytime instead of the 15-25 MC stocking stuffers...k'thanks

Looks like "the effect follows the cause". Sounds like something out of special relativity, except I don't think Einstein was ever that pretentious...

When I took to rollerblading, the people I used to skate with referred to new skaters as "gumbies". Never occured to me that that could be a pop-culture reference...
Also, could I have a lump of coal, please?
