The Catapult is under the mat of "we're looking into it".

Nobody uses CPLT-A1 or CPLT-C4 anymore... so I guess technically we don't "see" this problem anymore.
Just because you sunk art resources into it doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do to fix it!

I do take my A1 Trollcat out now and then. My Jester I still take because its not as broken. (I don't use PPC on it)
But I do miss the smaller missile pods to be sure.
Of all the things they could have spent that time on. The Catapult was not broken.

I do wish they'd at least give us a simple code reversion. If they're going to sweep the problem under the rug, at least go back to the old look and *then* ignore us.

I just want my pretty ears back and not these gaudy earrings. Akin to having plugs on my ears except worse.

they did that with the Orion. just block out unused tubes. instead of going through the effort of remodeling a laucnher with smaller tube counts.

i'd just like to correct the misconception that the addons create a larger hitbox for the catapult. Hitbox geometry is separate from the model.
i would like to see them fix the A1 launcher as well. but i think using that argument won't get us anywhere, because it will seem like we don't know what we're arguing for.

Good to know, but the Cat hitboxes are too big anyway, because the Cat scale is (still since closed beta) too big, just look at that comparison to the Stalker.
The argument about strap-ons being stupid for a Cat is about ugliness and backward logic, not hitboxes.

It is a little big. But i think mostly the stalker is also very small for an 85 tonner. According to volume theres only a 7ton difference between the 2 mechs, when there should be 20.
http://mwomercs.com/...-and-quickdraw/
Also, has anybody pointed this out yet? They really butchered the catapult revamp like no other:
- Removal of smaller launchers for the C1, A1. So that all missile catapults have large launchers now.
- Addition of unnecessary side straps, for missile addons.
- Misalignment of laser

I've noticed this too, its an obvious error, even the textures on the camo doesn't line up.

My idea consist in keeping all the tubes but alternating fire with all of them and switch to 20/15 tubes or so (for hard point) to all the weapons.
one single SRM2 .gif example
(Red dot = firing tube)(Black dot = fired tube) When every tuve has fired start again.
Is just an idea, and has some flaws, but is better than the current state.

The other option of course is to make the Stalker bigger.
I'd be fine with either... the ideal would probably be to make the Cat a bit smaller and the Stalker a bit bigger, but that's an unlikely change since it would require twice as much effort.
