Hey Everyone! I have good news - we have a DX11 test build ready for you guys to test out! You can check the schedule info here - but the times will be as follows: November 7th - 10am PST to 12pm PST AND 4pm PST to 6pm PST. And remember - you need a DX11 capable GPU to do this test. We're all looking forward to this, and we hope to see you there! Remember to give your constructive feedback, after, and to have fun! Cheers, The MechWarrior Online Team

CPU remains the same - yes you need one. You need a copy of Windows, a monitor, and a few other parts as well. There's no need for wise *** comments like this.

As for the DX11 implementation:

Tesselation? DX Compute? What's being used? Mega textures? Knowing what changed can help people look for issues.

Thanks!

I don't suppose there's any guidance y'all have for those of us whom have put some elbow grease into our user.cfgs'? Or maybe just the in-game sliders?

How about driver settings you'd like to see?

I'll get my machine operational by then and push my work project for 2 hours to try this out.
- No DX11 effects yet(no graphics improvements), sure; but I want to see how it affects the FPS, especially after fiddling with the drivers on my end.

Wondering if we can also get a focus for the test? Maybe a list of changes, and known issues like there was for UI2.0. Would be very helpful!

Also, will feedback given need to submit a Dxdiag in a
Spoiler
???

Thanks

I wonder why can't you open servers for testing for at least a full day?

Really?

You're talking about a company that just broke the most basic and universally used interface option since the joystick for the Atari 2600.

Actually, having a list of DX9 code path changes when running DX11 would not be a bad idea.

If this is strictly just change from DX9 calls to DX11 calls, then I wholly expect for the performance to be slightly less than we see now.

But if the DX11 implementation contains the performance saving calls, like DirectCompute, then I expect to see slightly more performance.

I really could care less about the additional display features for better visuals right now.

Primary focus on the test is stability don't expect mind blowing performance or devastating graphics they aren't there yet, as I've stated multiple times, there are some improvements for sure, but the focus for tomorrow is on stability (hmm yeah can see why I'm not a marketing guy ;) )

Thanks! Wanted to make sure just in case. Would dxdiag's be good to include in stability feedback?

So, will this be DX 11 with UI 1.5 or 2.0?
