What I don't like is the fact that these missiles can turn on a dime horizontally.
if they toned down the turning radius and forced players to think about positioning and leading missiles to compensate (at the risk of breaking lock) we'd see more missiles boats moving around to take out targets instead of playing "Turret MKII" all the time.
I think this is a good idea actually. They can track too well. I had a game 2 days ago where I got missile inc warning so I powered forward (at 145kph btw) towards solid cover, which I reached. The cover was abut 5 times taller than my mech and near vertical. The lrms changed angle whilst I was mid flight into a vertical plane and STILL hit me, even though I was inside their possible arc....They would have had to have had a different launch angle to have achieved the hits they did.
Make players have to consider their firing arc more and many issues may be solved I think.
