Played xwing vs tie fighter, monster truck madness, mech 3,4 mercs on the zone under the handle DFA_Boba_Fett. This could have all been avoided if a 7 year old kid didnt walk in on a friend playing mechwarrior 2. A maddog fighting a nova in the desert....

I prided myself in being good at all mods and maps. C1 and c5 was probably my best and worst was c0...but even then toward the end of my playing I kind of forced myself to get good at c0. Madcat D and I think Thor B...there was also one stock Avatar and Supernova that I personally liked but didn't get much attention from other players. When you realized most people were only good at Ice Map c5, heat map c5, ice map c1... then you started to exploit that by bidding other crap they weren't good at.

I remember beating a lot of people just with the bid system. If they chose an Ice Map then I picked c0 or c1. When I won that they would come back in a few days IMMEDIATELY bid c5 then I would bid a normal heat map or a crazy map like Beach head because people sucked at the really hot maps. You wouldn't believe how mad people got because they couldn't get me on a c5 Ice UA or non UA...but If that ever happened I would still have a good chance because I practiced all modes. My favorite was probably c1 non-ice or c5 non-ice non-ua.

I'm still wondering what exactly happened in MW3 in regards to ice maps. It was during the course of a week that most people just stopped playing normal maps. I only remember because my friend stopped playing for a week to do some Starcraft stuff...when he came back it was like ALL ice 24/7.

MW4 started my internet gaming addiction. That site was the start of the end of my first marriage. I went by a few names, Jaggededge, Jagged, and Rhonda Snord for a short time. Ahhhhh good times.

I kind of wonder if Islandborn or Klimax will come back. I remember getting their mech packs and I was like OMFG I didn't know xyz was possible. All the good players wanted the other good players mech packs...but since we guarded them like trade secrets you had to try and become friends first.

I'm also wondering if more BBB members will come back...you guys were really good.

You played XvT? I was in the JM's with Vex and Larris as JM_Rabid. Held #3 on the leader board under those two until I got tired of all the mandatory challenges just so I could fight the 2 guys above me. Good times, good times. Started splicing the .OPT files and the .exe with CEO_Trident of Pheonix Technologies which eventually lead to the OPT project after Datamaster's Website closed down. Quit playing the game and just modded it after that.

56k modem + beeing in germany kinda made me using zonematch much more than the zone.
When I finally got my hands on cable internet and learned to enjoy the zone it didn't took long until MS pulled the plug.

Anyway, cool to see some quite familiar names!

Played XVT under Dark Force Alliance.... Balance of power when that dropped...uhhhh XWA as well for a time. I remember being irritated that XVT didn't have rudder. But i was like 14 or 15 at the time and cant remember everything. Still good to see somebody around from that group.

Yea man what's up. It's a shame it was taken, not sure what to do now. I kind of don't like this old name, but if I change to one of my new ones I run the risk of losing the opportunity to meet up with some old friends and enemies.
