I don't mind a big patch. got a 25/5 mbit connection. But I love the premium time! Especially now that I'm working to get my commandos elited :(

The handling of this is a small step in the right direction. And much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the heads up, Niko! My total bandwidth is limited by month and this would have been a bad surprise. At least now I can make arrangements to download it elsewhere.

From probably the only guy that plays MWO over 4G.

Your not the only one, all I can get where I live is 4G cellular or satellite internet. Satellite is impossible to game on so I'm stuck paying $120 a month for 30GB of data which is epic fail IMO. But my cell phone has unlimited data so I hook it up to patch things since its 4G as well. I'd use my phone all the time but the QoS on the data from my phone has a lower priority than Verizon's home fusion broadband service so I get a metric **** ton of packet loss when crossing my phone's data.

Makes half my matches kick back to the mech lab instead of loading.

I know this will never get read by PGI most likely, but I'd like to say the following.

YOU'RE DOING IT RIGHT.

I can deal with a large patch and it usually doesn't inconvenience me. That being said your token of good faith to the community in the form on a day of Premium Time restores hope and good will to many of the disgruntled. Actions like this definitely keep things interesting and make us want to play more.

Continue on this path and I believe you'll retain a large playerbase.

Wow that's 1 big patch but as long as it improves the game it's ok.

lol, unbelievable :(

thanks very much, too kind for such a frivolity of 1,3gb patch, seriously :(

Just to put that in a frame, xcom enemy unknown patched without asking and without patchnotes a 4GB patch into their game (for everyone) and 3 days after that came the extension enemy within with another 7GB.

And X rebirth needs a "launch patch" of 1,5GB which is not even on DVD so everyone needs it to play that game.

Really kind to think on our bandwidth and giving us a day premium as little sugar. Really, i'm amazed by this move *thumbsup*

Will founders who have not activated their founders time be able to activate this 1 day separately (this is not the case with other previous 1-day like the valentine day one). Does it expire?

I dont care a single bit about more content.. I would rather have a big patch where most of it is focused on fixing the bugs, balancing the game and optimizing the overall performance. These are desperately needed far more than new content..

I really don't see why they have to give us anything. Unless the client is going to have a hard time installing it. As it often does. But I've sat through bigger patches in other games. It's good they're giving people such consideration. But I'm worried that this will just add to the community's sense of self entitlement. Which will lead to them being outraged later if a bug in a patch were to cause trouble and the expectation of something free.

Still, can't really go wrong with a day or two of premium.

The PT is stored, you will notice a new button when you log in, "Activate", pressing this will open your PT balance and confirm that you wish to use it.
