So last 2 attempts to fix this they added cockpit shake, then a charge timer to gauss rifles. Now the go to poptart (while still much less effective than 2 PPC gauss but still overly deadly) is the 2 PPC AC 20. Will PGI add a delay to AC 20 now or might they actually put it on the PPC like they should have from the start?

Also gauss should have a minimum range, as much as I love the weapon.

Alternate solution: You can learn to play and start dealing with them.

The fact that PGI had attempted to fix them twice isn't enough evidence that they are in fact overpowered? Also, I like balanced mech variants. That in of itself puts me at a disadvantage right off that bat, but one I can overcome. That is until a team shows up with 3 or 4 poptarts. Then balanced mechs just don't stand a chance.

Not sure if you mean "wow that is some nerve" or "finally someone brought this up."

So your complaint is that, your using underpowered mech configs (I love balanced machines myself, avid TT player but you need to realize it doesn't fly in a FPS) and that when faced with 3-4 poptarts your mech doesn't stand a chance..

Uhm.. no mech stands a chance against 3-4 anythings buddy.. hate to break it to you..

I mean really, I hate it when I'm playing a lurm boat and 3-4 scouts or brawlers run up in my face but I don't cry about it. I hate when I'm brawling and get stuck at range by 3-4 snipers but I don't cry about it...

Not exactly, I was pointing out that this could have easily gone into one of the other numerous threads already in this very section of the forums. There was no need to start a new thread to clutter up the front page on the same subject.

Dude, obviously if something irritates you because you only want to play your way and not adopt different tactics than it needs to not only be nerfed but nerfed harder

On that note I demand the lowering of speed on light mechs moving above 100 kph because I struggle with them! I should never have to rely on my team, different tactics or learn to play better.

Amazing how freqently these threads appear. Seriously, when did they stop? They've been going strong since MW2 and NetMech days.

and how pray tell do you add a minimum range to a hypersonic non explosive projectile?

And LOL about the PPC.

Gauss minimum range is at the muzzle, as it should be.

The minimum I think you refer to is a DIE ROLL MODIFIER. An adjusted CHANCE TO HIT. Not a NO DAMAGE mechanic.

Balanced mechs aren't very balanced if they can't fight a poptart.

Why not add a huge heat debuff when JJ? Maybe to only PPC's/AC weapons don't know at this point maybe if they made the JJ work like they did in TT and not just slightly lift off the ground but you know shoot you at a stupid speed into the air and fall too fast to make a shot+screenshake?
Look I have no idea how to "fix" it. All you really can do is make it worth getting close enough to use srms, AC20's, and Pulses.
The fact that people get pissy about someone getting so mad that it ruins their experience (about balance) makes laugh.

Let's face it, these 'cry nerf' guys aren't gonna be happy till we just have Rock'em Sock'em Robots.

Then they'll cry because they never get the red robot.

Just imagine it, it'll be like when Fred and Barney watch the fights in the Flintstones. Instead of two big cavemen taking turns hitting each other with clubs we'll just use mechs taking turns punching each other.

good pilots aren't good pilots if they cant shoot a poptart down or flank?
